Could the sub conscious mind be our god?

The idea of God as the source of all life seems to contradict the idea that he is a thought of my mind.

How did god create everything we witness?

God has created everything out of nothing. He has brought everything into existence and through him it is kept in existence.

Why is god portrayed as a human?

Of course God is not human but pure spirit. God being so different to us it is very difficult for us to understand him. A way that we can get an idea of what God is like is to identities qualities in created things and then apply this to God knowing that he is the perfection of that quality. For example we can see great love between a father and his son and then we can apply this to God knowing that is love is infinitely greater.
God in his kindness though has gone far further than merely giving us these examples of love in what he has created. God himself has become man and lived among us in the person of Jesus Christ. He is the unique God-man. One person with two natures - God and man!

What is your perception over religion?

Religion is an integral part of what it means to be human and the highest expression of our existence. God made us and we are meant to know, love and serve him.

How do you perceive this very venture, forged from java scripts and thought be a well defined man made survival social tool on which we are having a noteworthy conversation based on interlocked uni lingual idiosyncrasies of notions?

It is rather confusing but I hope good can come from it. :-)

What makes you think that everyone has the same religion as you? Why are you telling a person who might even be a non-believer to follow the guidelines of your religion?

It is difficult for me to respond to this question as I am not sure which of my answers you are referring too. I have stated very clearly on this site that I am Catholic and so it should not surprise anyone if I do present the Catholic view.
I also believe that the Catholic faith is true and so I cannot but help to put forward her views. I believe she is the family of God of which we should all be part.

There's a guy who is similar to me. When I talk with him, I feel good and we always have something to talk about. He is awake, clever, kind and funny. I would like to know him more and I hope it'll born something between us. How can I do?

It sounds like you have really met someone special. I am not sure what you mean by, "I hope it'll born something between us." And without understanding this part of the question I can't try to answer. I should also say that I am hardly the person to ask for advice with relationships having had very few myself.
Some general guidelines are to put God first in your life and your relationship. This means that you can only have one sexual relationship and that only when you are married. It also means that you must be careful in your relationship not to encourage or entertain impure thoughts. Difficult you might say but this is how relationship should be. God bless you!

Genesis 1:29-30 tells us that human and animals were originally given only plants to eat. I wonder if God allowed humans to eat animals after the flood, due to our sinful and violent nature.

That is interesting. I have never noticed that, that Scripture seems to suggest that man should only eat plants. Later though God does give Adam and Eve clothes made of skins Genesis 3:21 which would suggest that God does approve of animals being killed for man's use.

Do you have any experience of insanity?

I have experienced some things which I considered very unusual and become anxious and given myself over to suspicions which were not well founded, so to some extent, yes.

Have you ever suffered from depression?

There have periods in my life when I have not been physically able to do almost anything. I think at least a component of this was mental but I think the physical side was the major reason.

Do you see things as they are or as you want to see them? Why?

I quite often do not see things as they are. I find I have quite a suspicious streak.

Do you study the bible?

I am not studying the Bible at the moment, nor have I for quite some time now. I do read from the Psalms daily and Scripture is read daily at Mass and is often the subject of the sermon though I am sadly not so attentive.

How can we justify eating animals when the Sixth Commandment says "thou shalt not kill?"

It seems clear to me that this commandment applies to not killing people as in Scripture God commanded the killing of animals in sacrifice and their eating.

What type of films do you like to watch?

I really enjoy a wide variety of films. I enjoy science fiction a lot as I like to see how life is envisaged in the future. It helps one to question things about life which we take for granted. I also enjoy action films which give one an insight into the excellence which soldiers, crooks and spies can achieve. Movies which place one in someone else's life and in other circumstances are also great. Stories of human perseverance and endurance also interest me. It is interesting to try to see the work of God in the story which is related.

Do you enjoy reading?

I do enjoy reading, though I have read very little over the last few years. Hopefully I will start reading more.

The reason I asked was: I wondered if the ‘forbidden fruit,’ was not in fact a fruit, but was a metaphorical way of suggesting that killing and eating animals once we knew the difference between good and evil was a sin.

The Catholic Church teaches that the killing of animals is allowed. God has given us nature to sustain us. We should have a great respect for nature and animals are the highest beings in this natural order. Animals should not be treated cruelly, nor killed wastefully and we must take care not to kill off species.

How do you visualize the portrait of insanity? Why?

What is insanity? I think as a starting point it is not seeing things as things as they are.
