How do you cheer up a friend when they're feeling down?

I try to share their worries and be an indication of God's love for them.

What's the biggest lie your parents told you growing up?

I cannot really recall any lies my parents told me while growing up.

If you could have lunch with 5 people dead or alive who would it be?

Our Lord, Our Lady, St. Jospeh, St. Stephen the Martyr and St. Peter the Apostle. In some ways this might be a bit of a scary lunch! :-)

What's your favorite movie scene?

I really enjoy the scene from "Amelie" where she has decided she is going to improve the world by teasing others to make them consider their sins. One of her victims who loves soccer is watching a game on TV. He is very passionate about the play and as his shouts rise higher and higher the television suddenly turns to snow - much to his consternation but the picture restores and he settles again only for the same thing to occur again and again causing greater and greater agitation. The camera then cuts to the rooftops where Amelie is sitting unplugging and plugging in the antenna. :-) God protect us from Amelie!

Tell me about God's grace

Hi Tyler! What a beautiful question. One meaning of the word grace is the very life of God which he gives to us. While we live in friendship with him this life remains in us but if we turn from him we drive his life from us - we die spiritually. By confessing our sins and repenting we can again win back this life. If we die with God's life in us, in his grace, we will live with him eternally! :-) God bless you!

The only thing I can come up with is that, as you said, it doesn't lead up to marriage. So maybe it is in attempt to avoid temptation to go too far? I'm not sure, because one could argue that heterosexual couples face the same issue with kissing before marriage and saving more intimate relations

So to be clear here.
Are you asking if kissing by a homosexual couple should not be done because it could go to far?
If so, I would answer.
Not because it could go to far but because it cannot go anywhere.

Xbox or PlayStation?

I have played Xbox only once and in a very limited context but from what I have seen PlayStation!!!

I understand why homosexuals cannot get married because they can't procreate and therefore shouldn't be having sex. But is there a reason why they can't kiss other than it could lead to sexual temptation? I was just wondering because heterosexual couples can kiss before marriage and they still have

I am not qualified to give you a definitive answer. But let us try to grope towards the truth.
I do not think your reasoning for why homosexual couples cannot get married is valid. Couples who cannot procreate cans still get married.
Outside of homosexual relationships men can kiss. So we must discard this kind of kissing. This is not the kind of kissing you are referring too.
Interesting question.
If a couple kiss in such a way that they are sharing an intimacy which is reserved for marriage then they would be sinning too.
But I would agree that there are actions in between which are not entirely without intimacy but are not of an intimacy reserved for marriage. Perhaps one can say these are intimacies while not yet an expression of marriage are acceptable because they are like a precursor to marriage, which build toward marriage and have as their end the intimacy of marriage.
If marriage is no the end of these actions then they are not good.
I don't know. What do you think?

Would you rather visit a zoo or an art museum?

Of course it depends on a lot of factors which museums and what is the day like for two but all being equal i would prefer to visit an art museum. I am thinking of one of the great art museums. Johannesburg has a fine zoo but not such a great art museum so I am a little starved of good art.

How old were you when you started playing video games?

Say 10 years old "Space Invaders" and "Asteroids" at the arcades. :-)

Are you afraid of falling in love?

Yes. Many ideas of love are removed from the source of love - God. Love without God is sure to cause great harm. It might of course lead to God but only through great heartache.

Is there one person in your life that can always make you smile?

No unfortunately not, though I take great comfort in Our Lord.

It is also unfortunate that men don't appreciate women do not realize that they have a mother?sisters?and future daughters? It is very painful to not appreciate the virtue of chastity and prefer an easy woman.God bless you.

The thought of their own daughters is a good test for men. Would they want a man to act the same way towards their own daughter as they are towards a woman. There really is no such thing as an easy woman, that ease which one has will turn into great torment and torture, most likely in this world but certainly in the next. God bless you too.

Is infortunate that women who love God above all things and have been saved for the marriage, have delivered purity, fidelity withthin it,are devalued, mocked for being clean. What you think of this?

Most definitely. Though there fidelity will be rewarded beyond measure when they are brought before their true bridegroom at the end of time who sees and appreciates every kindness and every virtue.

Continue of your opinion of the penultimate question? In this case the woman is not to blame for the situation, even if there were lies made before the marriage is considered null. The Church works i,each particular case. The person can rebuild their lives,if that is the will of God.

Thanks for this further question. There are cases where the marriage would not be contracted. Say if, as you mentioned, there were lies told about serious things. So for example if a spouse knew they could not have children and kept that from the other spouse then the marriage would not have been contracted and can be annulled. If the marriage does exist it cannot be set aside because of subsequent bad behavior.
No matter how bad our circumstances are God always has a remedy for it and makes it possible for us to be great saints and live lives pleasing to him. Thanks be to God.

Could you go for the rest of your life without drinking alcohol?

Yes, alcohol is fortunately not important to me. Thanks be to God.

What is your opinion about women who have been as described in earlier questions, and have been abused, deceived by their husbands. That have not reviewed, nor it's purity or virginity, and have left abandoned with children.

I would like to say that virginity and purity are firstly of the heart. Thanks be to God that we can regain our purity and in a sense our virginity through turning to God who can make us "whiter than snow". As for a woman who has married and is abandoned by her husband with children. This is truly a tragic situation. Her husband has broken his vows before God and sinned very seriously, however, despite the man's terrible behavior, the woman would still be his wife, even if she live separate from him. Seeing virginity and purity as of the heart then really woman's purity and virginity is not lost through marriage but is lived out in a most beautiful way. Women must strive to retain this view even when their spouse may act in a way which causes harm to this. Virginity and purity cannot be taken away from us by force. If I have spoken ill please would you help me to see this. May God bless you.

What kind of books do you enjoy reading?

c7320’s Profile PhotoCarmen
I have not been reading many books at all recently. I enjoy books on the Catholic faith - any aspect of it - spirituality, history, the saints, theology, apologetics etc. I enjoy novels and can quite easily find myself reading junk. I was given a whole lot of second hand books and have over the last period quite indiscriminately taken books and read them. I find it interesting to think about what the author is trying to achieve and how he or she goes about doing that. I also find it interesting to look for the wisdom of life and knowledge of life which books carry.
