If you had to define your vocation,and among these was the marriage,what the perfect woman to be your companion be?
A woman deeply in love with God, committed to obeying God's commands, a practicing Catholic, holding to the Church's teaching on artificial birth control, a virgin, intelligent and passionate, with a dangerous side, a woman not threatened by men, someone who loves the arts - reading and music and who loves beauty. Who is not afraid to stand out and be different. Someone who loves the marginalized and poor. A woman who loves children, a mother. A woman who loves people and dance, who loves to bring people into her home and to make them welcome. A woman who has inner beauty and inner strength - inner purity. Someone who knows suffering but knows love. A woman who is beautiful, elegant, tall - who is mysterious. But after all these wishes and wants God is sure to laugh at me. Yes, definitely. The Bible has examples of this too. Adam and Eve being the prototype for all marriages and even deep friendship between the same sex are mentioned as David and Jonathan and then best of all God and David for example! God bless!

We did not have TV here when I was a kid. I loved climbing trees and spending time in the veld exploring.

I can't recall, not too early 6 or 7 perhaps. Thanks to my teachers :-).

What do you miss?
I miss being able to attend the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, the Mass in Latin in the older form and being able to serve this Mass. It really is a very beautiful rite and a profound experience helping the priest.
Are you still friends with someone from kindergarten?
Yes, though the person and I have drifted apart I would still consider us friends, yes.
How many pillows do you sleep with?
None. Having slept without any for a while I don't feel comfortable with them anymore.
If you were a different gender, what name would you want to have?
I would not be me if I were a different gender. This is something intrinsic to who I am.

If one can include shoes under clothing, then I would say a pair of Adidas - remarkably hard wearing and can be worn with smart casual, though they are getting worn.

Hairdressing, but I suppose they are selling one a sense of glamour.

What a strange question. If I had an option I would not chose anything. If I had to chose say an olive green as it is at least quite close to normal skin tones.

I visited a friend on a farm today and watched there herd of gemsbok - magnificent.
If you were a farmer, what would you grow?
Corn perhaps, as it provides a good staple crop and seems to be able to be grown without too much damage to the soil and in many parts of South Africa without irrigation - but this is a lot of poor speculation.

You ask is it wrong to have sexual interests in the same gender. If by this you are asking is it wrong to feel sexually attracted to the same gender? Then I would answer, no.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC:2358) says, "The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. They do not choose their homosexual condition; for most of them it is a trial. They must be treated with respect, compassion and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."
Can you entertain this attraction or foster sexual interest in the same gender? No. Should you maintain that same gender sexual attraction is wrong? Yes.
(CCC:2357) "Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as grave depravity, tradition has always declared that 'homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.' They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved."
How does one change sexual attraction to the same gender?
This is very difficult. I think one should not too quickly label oneself as homosexual if one is sexually attracted to the same sex. The Catechism (:2375) says that,
"Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction towards persons of the same sex."
Even if one cannot change these attractions one can resist them.
(CCC:2359) "Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection."
The same challenge of chastity is faced by those who are not homosexual and the Catechism gives further advice on friendship as a help to chastity which I think is very useful.
(CCC:2347) "Chastity is expressed notably in friendship with one's neighbor. Whether it develops between persons of the same or opposite sex, friendship represents a great good for all. It leads to spiritual communion."
The means of prayer, and the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confession are of course key.

Seeking to do God's will.
To foster a civilization that appreciates live - no one should have to work on their birthday! Everyone should have a birthday day off!
If you are asking do I think we should work on our birthdays? I think we should, though I do not think we should work on the birthday of the Church - Sunday.
If you could invent a holiday what would it be?
I quite liked the idea of adventure holidays, which movies use every so often, where you could place yourself in other people's positions for a time.
