Everyone has a different style of conflict resolution. Some like to address it directly, some give in to avoid conflict. Some will go to friends to "vent" and seek validation. What's your style when you and your SO disagree?

I do not have a significant other but I would hope to address things directly with her.

What is one bit of wisdom you'd give your daughter about men, and what would you advise her about being a woman? Now the reverse, what would you tell a son about being a man, and about women? Advice, warnings, encouragement or whatever.

Off the top of my head I would tell both my daughter and son to take care to chose a partner who places God first and tries to please God and fears God. In their own lives of first and far greatest importance that they should themselves imitate Our Lord. Of the saints I would ask both to take as their examples of the realization of the sexes the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph and especially encourage my son to imitate the virtues of the Virgin Mary and perhaps in a reciprocal way for my daughter to imitate St. Joseph though the Holy Virgin must, due to her special privileges from God, be of a far greater importance to her.
I would also advise both that they be aware that people are sinners, that they betray God who is very goodness itself and so they should be forgiving to others who should betray them.

Do you like bacon to be crispy or soft? What is your favourite dish to add bacon to?

Awkward_Asker’s Profile PhotoAwkward Spammer
When i fry my own bacon I always fry it soft, but I quite like it crispy when at a restaurant. I cook very little but I quite enjoy putting bacon with rice with tomatoes and cheese and mayonnaise - no gourmet here.

Does it make you feel uncomfortable when you feel people are not being truthful?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
Yes, I have to fight a feeling of being manipulated and lied too. I have come to realize that sometimes people may outwardly show signs of not being sure of what they are saying because of other reasons like, that, they might be inwardly questioning something which they have always held to be true or, some other related fact has struck them to be unsure.

Do people ever accuse you of being rude when you didn't intend to be?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
I can think of one case in particular where I used a term which I was not aware was derogatory and I think the person was very offended. I can unknowingly offend people but sometimes where I pick up on this false offense I can push things a bit and that is naughty of me.

Describe the place where you would most like to live.

I cannot say that there is a particular place where I would most like to live. It is very important to me to be close to Mass. I take pleasure in exploring small aspects of places where I have lived.

I'd rather go to the library than a party too :$ Do you find on-line communication easier than face to face?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
I find online communication very difficult as one cannot see the other person's reactions. It is difficult to express nuances in meaning that a change in voice or a look would express.
One of the things that I like about online communication is that what has been said is there to be seen and reviewed and in a sense the conversation is above board.

What do you mean when you say you try to seek the truth?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
I suppose some of it might be prying if I notice someone is hiding something I can tend to ask about it but more often if I sense someone is speaking with false authority I tend to ask questions which can be awkward and expose the person.

Do you get upset if your daily routine is disrupted or plans are changed?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
No I don't mind if my plans are disturbed but small things can make me quite depressed if I am not careful, things like missing Mass.

Do you enjoy social chit-chat ?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
I do enjoy chit-chat but I tend to be too serious and start to try to seek the truth, even in small ways and it does not lend itself to good conversation.

Have you ever hunted down an old book or movie from your childhood? What was it, and was it as good as you remembered?

I recently saw a little bit of "The Rescuers" which I really loved as a child, unfortunately I did not find it that good at all. Perhaps I did not give it much of a chance.

Blacklist is my fav! Keep watching it! It's really good 😊

That is really cool :-) :-) :-). I will try catch up on a few episodes today. :-)

Have you had any kind of assessment to try to find out why you feel like you don't fit in?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
No. I have had a bit of over anxious view of psychologists but I am at least a little more relaxed now. I am not sure that there would be too much to be gained from going for an assessment but I might well be wrong. Perhaps you can help me here with your questions?

Do you prefer to do things alone or with others?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
I suppose I prefer to do things alone but at the same time I really do enjoy other people's company. Quite often I find that I end up in competition with others. I do not really mean to do this but it seems to happen very often. When this does happen I can take things over the top and end up hurting others. I can be quite careless in the things that I say.

Do you find it difficult to make friends in real life?

SophiePinkie’s Profile PhotoSophie Pink
I do consider the internet part of real life but I suppose it is really difficult to discern the robots from the people never mind your friends.
I make friends easily but I am afraid of making long lasting commitments in addition to this my life has been quite unstable so I have moved around quite a lot and really quite suddenly and so have let down people who have relied on me. To consider myself kindly I would say perhaps there is in this a desire to be always available to do what God wants. But there is another side which is less flattering and that is not being able to commit to relationships.
I take fright quite easily that people might be putting me ahead of God or put another way that I might not be helping people to God.
I find I have been in a lot of conflict at parishes were I would hope to make friends and this has made it difficult to build friendships with people who are sympathetic to me.
My age and not working has been another factor and I have a sort of dread for bars and clubs and parties.
These are just some initial thoughts. :-)

I understand. I should not have asked. I'm sorry.

No please ask any questions however penetrating or awkward or difficult they might seem. This is what this site is about as far as I am concerned. It is a place for the difficult questions which can hopefully change our lives.

Why do you not work? Are you ill? I'm not being critical, just interested. You don't have to answer if you'd rather not.

I could say I find it very difficult to fit in and that I do not like money and a whole bunch of other reasons.

How often do you go on holiday? How long are they? Where was your last holiday? Where do you think your next one will be?

Awkward_Asker’s Profile PhotoAwkward Spammer
Some might think that I am on perpetual holiday. I was last in Margate on South Africa's east coast for a year. I have no idea where my next holiday might be.

What is your favourite Tv show? Why do you like it?

Awkward_Asker’s Profile PhotoAwkward Spammer
I am not watching much TV at all and not following any shows. I am dipping into "The Blacklist" and my mom watches a local soapie "Binnelanders" which I watch a bit too. I like the acting of Reddington in "The Blacklist" and the interesting criminal plots and spy stuff. And in "Binnelanders" it is fun to share the show with my mom and interesting to hear some Afrikaans and the people are quite fun.
