#grunge

I like whatever feeds my emotional needs. Usually reverb, strings and/or waltz are involved in some way.
All sorts!! It really depends on my frame of mind but usually something uplifting and upbeat!
I’m into all sorts but because anger plays a big role in my life I do love some hard thrashing metal to listen to soothe the anger because the music screams it out for you. Why do you think most metal heads are so chill but deep down know how to fuck shit up if need be. Lol
Music with a message of nearly any genre. I like songs/artists that have a purpose.
Mexican corridos. I get that for non Spanish speakers it sounds all happy-go-lucky and festive but if you listen to the lyrics, they get into some real gangsta shit. Rap and hip hop don’t even come close... in rap they just say things like “I’m going to shoot you”, Mexican corridos go into detail lol they say things like “ima chop off your head, put your body in an acid tub, and bury you in a hole” type of shit. But no seriously, Mexican corridos is like a mash up of rap and country and action movies. Most songs tell a story like country music, but they’re violent like rap (even more so), and it feels like you’re watching an action movie by how they describe the events.
Rock spanning from the mid 60s to the late 70s, or thereabouts; I'm very into the psychedelic and prog stuff. And then grunge of course, love that too. But I'll listen to most of rock's subgenres, really, it's just the ones I named are the ones I return to the most.
All sorts. I like classical and choral, rock, pop, metal, reggae, country (even the stuff with gratuitous yodelling), rap, R&B old and new, rock and roll, industrial, dance music, goth, punk, swing, jazz, big band, soca, indie, disco... the list goes on and on. I cannot get on with grindcore though, or Nu metal. It just pisses me off.
I listen to and play a LOT of trad music. Quebecois (French Canadian), Swedish, Cape Breton, New England, Old-Time, Irish, Scottish, English, etc. I also love listening to and learning old folk songs from all over the world (Appalachian, sacred harp, UK, Georgian, French, African, etc). It's what I grew up listening and dancing to and it's always been important to me! I like a lot of different things, though I don’t really like country music most of the time. I listen to some alternative, pop, indie, and rap mainly. A few older artists as well. I love Fall Out Boy, MGK, BVB, Three Days Grace, Queen, and Juice WRLD. I’m not sure how much I differ from most males in general but my male friends and I have quite a bit of overlap in our music.
My musical tastes are pretty eclectic and I listen to a variety of genres, but my preferences tend to lean toward rock/alternative for the most part. A large chunk of my playlists/personalized stations is emo music and I like quite a bit of k-pop as well.

this is a great question and i want to do it justice by you but i dont know how to go about it. my ocd its already aching me thinking of how many ways i could branch off into specifics and how exactly tie different songs into different themes of my life. in the end i dont think i would ever be happy with it. there are just too many possibilities and for me possibility are my ENEMY lol.

growing up sort of sheltered music came later into my life than i would say it does to most. and it was mostly just by what was on the radio as my mom would listen to it sometimes as went about her house work. and to this very day i can recall a song i would hear played (this was the mid to late 80's) on there which i cannot for the life of me recollect enough details of to aid me using the powers of google to become reunited with... sigh. something about a bird and a wire and a sort of pop rock song sung by a man.. i swear to god its the only song i even want to hear anymore right now and i still hold out hope that before i leave this earth i will figure out what it is..

so my first cassette tape was mc hammer. hammer dont hurt'em or was the title of the album simply "cant touch this" i dont remember and i bet i may still have that somewhere. second was vanilla ice. this was early 90's.

then the next step was in my teens. during middle school is when i really sort of discovered the how listening to fm radio was just something that brought me to another level. improved my mood and gave me energy. lifted me a bit out of miserable state and made me think more was possible in the moments where i felt the music almost felt like it was in me surging through my veins. literally pumping me up...

this was a mix of mostly alternative grunge (we are mid to late 90's now) and him hop and dance music. i could name so many specifics only to realize there are so many more to mention so i will not even try to begin lol.

as i grew older (around high school and post hs) i got into punk pretty heavy. then years later i sort of fell in love with music of all kinds. classical first i think. sad piano and violin. then oldies, and classic pop and really anything. lullabies and even the sad cry of the theremin brought my ears and mind to another place and feeling. this continued for years and years. music was always something to fall back on. to play in the background that would just bring me a bit more life force. it could summon something out of me... always...

until more recent years. as my mental health has declined ive one by one lost the passion for all old desires. music was not spared this apathy. it was plucked away just as all the others and discarded into some abyss somewhere. nowadays i cannot listen to music. maybe it will change i do not know. if i try it begins to become increasingly bothersome to me within a minute or 2

Njáll hat seinen Style in der Punk Richtung gefunden, welche auch sehr durch zerrissene Jeans, schwarzen Bandshirts und Leder/Jeansjacke mit silbernen Kettchen, Patches oder Pins übersehen sind. Das einzig wirkliche farbige bei ihm im Schrank sind seine Flanelhemden.

Ihr Kleidungsstil geht sehr in die Richtung "Rock" und "Grunge". Vor allem liebt sie Karomuster egal ob auf Röcken, Kleider oder Hosen meist in Kombination mit Bandshirts und Lederjacken.

Bei Ju muss man sagen sein Kleidungsstil ist ein bisschen an den Stil von meinem älteren Bruder angelehnt (vor allem seine Liebe für schreckliche Hemden), weshalb sich viele Blumenhemden oder Hemden die aussehen als hätte man sie aus einem alten Sofabezug aus den 70er Jahren recyclet in seinem Kleiderschrank befinden, die er meist in irgendwelchen Secondhand Läden findet. Wegen diesen Hemden könnte sein Cousin/Mitbewohner/bester Freund jedes Mal aufs Neue die Krise bekommen bc NO Ju what are you doing you can't go out like this... Doch Jurij hat einfach keine Ahnung von Mode und auch wenn er durchaus einen Gefallen an den Grunge Style gefunden hat ist er einfach nicht in der Lage etwas vernünftiges zusammen zu stellen. Aber deswegen hat er ja seine beiden Mode Gurus dank denen er nur zu 40% der Zeit wie eine modische Katastrophe herumrennt.

Ich nehme mal meinen (hoffentlich) neusten Soul Fragment Zuwachs hinzu, bei welcher man eindeutig beobachten kann dass die junge Dame so gut wie nie Hosen trägt. Es sind meist Kleider oder Röcke, was durchaus seinen Grund besitzt but pssst this would be a spoiler why she always wears dresses or skirts ? aber an sich besitzt Cora einen sehr sweeten Kleidungsstil, welcher jedoch auch ein bisschen in die Richtung "Vintage" geht.
