> relationstick - LOFL! That's brilliant. I am sooo stealing that. 🤣 > stomach virus - Norovirus? Yeah, that's not fun. Can take a few weeks to beat. I had pneumonia in high school. Both lungs full of water, 2 weeks in the hospital. Covid was a joke by comparison, felt like a mild cold for me. 🤣🤣🤣 💗

Yeah the Norovirus. I had rotavirus. Only time I’ve been in hospital besides a few emergency room visits. I had bad ear infections as a child. I can still picture the taste of that pink liquid amoxicillin. Can you picture a taste? 🤔🤣💗

Are you a good liar? 🤥 😇

redoasis2017’s Profile Photo★ ☮ ♫ †êñå¢ï𵧠†ðmm奙 ▩ ♚ ☻
I’ve lied in the past (as a kid) and I got caught almost all the time so no, I’m not a good liar. I remember being embarrassed in front of the whole class because I chose to lie about where I picked up a book from (which was the teacher’s shelf when I tried denying the fact that I got it from there) and the teacher not only called me out for it but she also raised her voice so everyone turned around to see what the commotion was about lol. After that, I knew to never lie to her again but when it comes to lying to my parents, I do that from time to time again because I don’t want to disappoint them with the truth but even in those cases, my parents can usually see through my lies so it’s quite pointless for me to lie to them tbh.

What's your opinion on people who speak English as a secondary language?

sunnysidemilkshake’s Profile PhotoKyoto
That’s me lol. I think that how quickly someone learns English depends on how interested they are in learning the language and if they make an effort to learn rather than thinking that they’re already good at English when in reality, they might need help. I was never really interested in English as much as I was interested in speaking Turkish so I took ESL for 5 years and didn’t make much of an effort to be good at reading/writing/speaking in the English language until later on. My little brother would always speak English tho (and he still does to this day) and with time, I felt more comfortable with speaking English and took creative writing for two years, which really helped me develop a passion for the language. Unfortunately, my Turkish isn’t as great as it used to be (in my opinion) and I think it has a lot to do with not speaking in Turkish as often as I used to.

In their minds i have roamed
More than I've maybe done in my own.
It's alright I'll leave you on your own.

How would you react if you learnt that tiny "borrowers" existed and a family of them were living in the walls of your home and had secretly been taking various small stuff without you knowing? Would it surprise you? 🏡🔎

Honestly, I think they are in my house. Every single time keys, wallets etc go missing. I ask them to put them back. They appear in the strangest of places.

How to move on from an ex? That you want it but you know it won't work. Help !

you must keep in mind that it is impossible to turn the page overnight since being able to get over someone takes a more or less long process depending on what that person has meant to you. It is practically necessary that there be a change in attitude on your part until you can fully accept that things, for one reason or another, cannot happen no matter how hard you try to that it works and that it is useless. continue to tire you out if you already know the end of the story by heart. Also remember that you should not be the only one to constantly tease her, it is very important that she always does her part to make the situation go in the best possible way. Maybe it's just not the right time, but there are always one or more reasons why something can't happen.

Do you know what it feels like to be emotionally drained by someone?

messy_jessy1996’s Profile PhotoJessica
Yes, it usually happens when I’m around someone who can’t stand me so in return, I can’t stand being around them and having to absorb their negative energy as well as deal with their negative outlook of me that they make blatantly obvious every time they speak and/or look in my direction. I remember a time when I had no friends at school and someone kept giving me an attitude and moved away from me when they saw I was sitting near them… it sure felt great to know I was unwanted by not just them but the vast majority of my peers. Every time I’d come back home from school, I’d immediately feel the tension off of my shoulders being released and would sometimes find myself crying but not being able to explain why exactly that was happening. I now realize that the negativity was just weighing me down and I needed more positivity in my life, so instead of speaking up and letting my peers know that I was upset with them, I’d either bottle my feelings inside or take it out on my family once in a while (which they didn’t deserve to go through). There were a few people I liked but I never got too close to them due to my social anxiety overpowering my need to connect with others at the time.

What’s it like being out of touch with someone?

It’s as if every conversation you’ve had with them was meaningless and as if they’re a stranger rather than a long time friend of yours. It’s trying to force a connection again, hoping that things between you two will go back to being the same as it used to be when it probably won’t and trying to force a connection probably makes them want to get away from you more than ever before so you have no choice but to find someone else who may or may not be able to replace them.

In Japan you can rent a friend. You pay for their time and any activities you take part in. Would you do this or would you be a rent a friend?

David_Blanes’s Profile PhotoJluen (Dante is dead)
I wouldn’t do that and I don’t think I’d be a good friend to rent since I don’t vibe with many people and usually stay silent when I first come across a stranger so it wouldn’t be a fun time for me or the person who is renting me. I think it’s good for those who can easily get along with others and are naturally entertaining (most likely an extrovert too).

Are you an over thinker?

eyehavebadgas9’s Profile PhotoGO KNIGHTS GO!
Yes and it has a lot to do with having OCD as I find myself thinking ahead all the time in case I regret doing something such as not thinking twice before opening the door in case someone walks by (since I get irritated when people walk by as I leave my room or when leaving the bathroom) as I worry about coming in contact with germs when I’m around people and then I tell myself that I need to shower or wash my hands for a long time afterwards. I only leave the bathroom once I think the coast is clear and no one is walking by but sometimes things don’t go as planned and that gives me anxiety that lasts for hours to days in some cases. I also think about why people don’t talk to me, why they talk behind my back or why they give me certain looks and I tend to get stuck on the negatives so whenever something negative happens, I find myself thinking about that event for years on end. I also am very attached to my belongings so when I lose something, I start thinking of all the possibilities as to where I last left my belonging(s) and can’t seem to stop thinking about it and relax until I find it or get a new one for myself.

What should a guy do who’s married and is stuck between his mother and wive ? Who deserves his companionship and love more/ or What should be his ultimate decision in worst case ?

Ppl often ask this question..
Who’s more important: wife or mother ?
See my friend..
I find the question itself not right.
I don’t like when a wife or also a mother in law makes a man chose between them.
Because u compare two people who have completely different roles.
A mother’s love is veryyyyy different than a wife’s love. You can’t compare them.
Neither can the wife replace the love of his mother, nor his mother replace the love of his wife. Both are important in their own way. And a man needs both to be truly happy and content.
A good wife understands that ur family ( Mom Dad siblings etc) are as important in ur life as a wife. And no one can replace the other.
And honestly if I were married, I would be truly happy if my husband has a good relationship with his mother. I would even encourage him to spent good quality time with her, to visit her often and make her gifts. I would try to built a good bond with her myself and bring her to different places and bring happiness and joy into her life.
These fights we see in our middle eastern/ Asian cultures are wrong. I would never compare myself to his mother. Instead I would love her and honor her like my own mother.

It's been relaxing! I finally feel inspired to save up for a camera after entering a photo in a contest. Thurs-Fri spent some time with my bf (who gave me these lovely tulips) & today did a bit of solo shopping, picked up two books for just £4

Probably the last time I went to the movies with Brandon. We didn't take the kids & I didn't go with my friend like I have every other time I've been without my kids. So for once I actually got to see the whole movie in its entirety & hear everything without someone talking in my ear the whole time lmao.

When was the last time you went and saw a live performance? What did you see? 🎭🎤

TobbeAsks’s Profile PhotoTobbe
Do the gigs my other half plays count? 😝 If so, then start of January. If not, then last January when I saw Epica who more than lived up to their name!
Last comedy show was in December, I saw an American comedian called Iliza Shlesinger who is hilarious, but I'm actually going to see another next weekend. Last theatre show was also in December for a Tina Turner musical for my mum's birthday and that was really cool, and we're going out next weekend as well for Mother's Day to a horror-themed circus show.

Regarding my childhood, I think about both the good and bad times. I think fondly of the former while wondering why the latter happened and nothing was done to correct it. As for now, things are far from good. I am hopeful for better days soon, though.

“Wishing things were different, is a great way to tort*re yourself”
I thought I would share this quote that I had seen somewhere a long time ago.
I think sometimes when we wonder what could have changed in the past, it really neglects our present self. As hard as it may have been, those circumstances/situations molded us into who we are today. Sometimes we are given these circumstances as a way to better our own future. Use what broke you, to fuel you.
As for how it’s going now, your circumstances can change when you truly believe they will. Is there anyway I can help? ☺️
Also, what does the “latter” mean? 😌

Regarding nostalgia, I think about happy moments from my childhood or happy moments from my teens to the 1st half of my 20s. I just think about happy moments and people I miss who either no longer alive or are still alive, but no longer in my life.

Your thinking is relatively positive, which is wonderful. I could be wrong but you may have had a good childhood from the sound of it. From the time span, it made quite an impact on you in a positive way. I also understand what you mean by missing loved ones whether they are here in present time or not. All we have at the end of the day are the memories of those who made a difference in our lives.
Are you still in your late 20s or 30s? If you’d like to share.

Do you ever have friends that stop talking to you for no reason they just go cold they are your bestfriend then they stop being your friend the next day no warning to

It happens from time to time, we all find interests that change our friend circle and occupy our thoughts more, that usually means, and not necessarily deliberately, seeing others less often 🤷🏻‍♂️

How do you work under pressure? Have you had a job which often put you in stressful situations? 🥵

Depends on the pressure... Sometimes it can lead to good work but many times it can lead to shitty job as well as everything if needed to be done properly requires time and patience! ... But yes I've worked many times under pressure and pulled it off good luckily 👀
