When you were younger, did you find it easier to talk to those who were younger than you or older than you by a few years?

Froyh’s Profile PhotoMerve
Yes younger actually. I was always the youngest in school because I started kindergarten at age four because of when my birthday falls. My parents had the choice to start me early or a year later since I’m a November baby. I was super shy in school but I had my few friends all through elementary. Middle school people changed and friendships were chaotic and always ending. After I began homeschooling I started hanging out with a younger girl that was like a sister to me because my mother baby sat her and we always had her long hours. She looked much older than she was so we looked about the same age even though there was about a six year difference. Also very mature for her age. I was always very careful and protective of her when we hung out. She turned out to be an admirable woman with a taste for metal. I like to think I had some influence. We have not spoken in years but we are social media friends. And then the other girl I was briefly friends with. She was like a step sister had her mom and my father been married and not just partners. We only hung out briefly. Once on a vacation with our parents in my early 20s. She was still in her teens. Bad news. The parents sent us out together on vacation and I barely knew the chick so I really couldn’t try to control her. She would go off with dudes and have s*x. Within that week she had been with more guys than I had been with in my life. She’s the girl in those YouTube videos with me. We hung out that week that those videos were taken also and then that was about it. Our parents are still together but we are not in touch.

What's the youngest AND the oldest you'd date and how old are you? I'm 29, and, personally, I can't see myself dating someone whose brain hasn't even fully developed yet so I wouldn't date someone younger than 25, and the oldest I'd date is 40.

Some mature with age some never do some are mature from young age some are over 50 still act like a child so can't judge with age unfortunately but yeah I wouldn't date underage or date oap reaching there 80s in my opinion and I'm 36

A 5 year difference is acceptable to me. Either way I don’t care, as long as we can have a proper conversation about anything, preferably gas prices

My youngest son's former band-mate ~ leaves 'BANFI' ;
Joe Banfi now long solo , gives permission to share:
"I wanted to release it this autumn but I’ve been talking to a publisher about them helping out which has caused some delays. So now it’ll come out early in the new year.
It’ll be called The Parasol EP, with five songs on it.
"I sent it to my sister—she’s one of my go-to people to get a read on whether a Banfi song should get released. Her favourite song from the EP is called Heliotrope. Here it is: "

George Stinney Jr. was the youngest person sentenced to death in the 20th century in the United States. He was only 14 when he was executed by electric chair.During his trial, until the day of his execution, he always carried a bible in his hands, claiming for innocence.
He was accused of killing two white girls, Betty of 11 years old and Mary of 7, the bodies were found near the house where the teenager resided with his parents.
At that time all the jurors were white. The trial lasted only 2 hours and the sentence was handed down 10 minutes later.
The child's parents were threatened and prevented from giving him gifts in the courtroom and then expelling them from that city.
Before the execution, George spent 81 days without being able to see his parents.
He was trapped in a solitary cell, 80 km from his city. He was heard alone without the presence of his parents or a lawyer.
He was electrocuted with 5,380 volts in the head.
70 years later, his innocence was finally proven by a judge in South Carolina. The beam with which the two girls were killed, weighed more than 19.07 kilograms. Therefore, it was impossible for Stinney to be able to lift it, let alone be able to hit hard enough to kill the two girls. The child was innocent, someone put everything together to blame him just for being black.

Not as much with the youngest, I don’t know him as well as we’ve spent less time together and he is very much a cheeky character with a short concentration span so it changes quickly. The other two however I can work out their moods fairly easily or notice the small changes in behaviour or in their habits if they’re feeling off etc 🤷🏻‍♀️

How cool that you have a nose piercing. Have you had it for a long time and why did you want it?

I have 3 actually lol. One on each nostril and then the septum. I've had the ones in my nostrils since like...2018 I think, early 2019 at the latest. And i've had my septum done since like April I think of last year. Also used to have my tongue pierced.
I got my tongue and nostrils done the first time when I was like 11 or 12, I took all my piercings out later on after I started having kids and they got old enough to yank on them lol. I was done having kids, even the youngest of my kids were becoming old enough to know not to yank on piercings & I love the alt look. So they came back & I added the septum lol.

Share some good manners you admire in old people that are underrated or unappreciated by today's generation. [Shoutout 9.10.22]

Not using phones in gatherings
Not posting pictures of you without consent
Calling your loved one's for no reason, just maintaining connection (a caring gesture)
Standing up when some elder person joins you
Listening to an old age person with all love and responding them
Giving food to the youngest member first on the table
Spending time with children and grand parents without any gadget or internet things
Sharing moments for memories not for social media
Offering your seat to elders

4 more days until 9/11, do you remember where you were? Have you been to any of the memorials?

historyxmystery
Sadly yes. I will never ever forget. I was a sophomore in college when it happened and our campus was just a few miles away from Manhattan located just across the Hudson River in northern NJ. We could see and smell the smoke from campus. I was in my journalism class in the morning when the first plane hit and our professor dismissed us from class and told us to stay safe but to cover these historic unfolding events throughout the day. I drove to Cliffside park, saw the area completely lined with news trucks and crews, and watched the two tours billowing smoke and fall. I’ll never forget seeing a massive sea of grey moving across the bridges … it was humans … people covered in ash … they looked like ghosts. Later that day I found out one of my friends on the volleyball team had driven her friend to the airport that morning to fly back to California. Her name was Deora Bodley and she was the youngest person on United 93 to perish that day. Every single person on that plane was a hero. I met her while having an early breakfast in the cafeteria before she was taken to the airport. I not only visited the new 9-11 memorials, I assisted the pr team for One World Trade, and was later asked my by pr agency to work the red carpet movie premiere for United 93 and met Deora’s mom and sister for the first time in person. In addition to experiencing this on 9-11, I’m also from Washington DC which was also under attack and was terrified my mom would die because she worked for the government at the time and her offices were right next to The White House. That day I remembered calling her over and over again with no answer because all the phone lines were jammed.

Do you ever wish your family raised you differently?

I was lucky to be the youngest in my family as it gave me a little more space to judge based on my own discretion than my siblings whom my parents were more strict with - a bit too strict if I daresay -. So based on the reasonable and conservative way (I) have been raised, I would say I would choose to be raised exactly the same.
BTW, the youngest usually has it easier as parents will learn from their previous parenting mistakes. The eldest is usually the lab rat :p

In your experience, are old neighbors meaner? I usually like my boomer neighbors and I think it's mutual, I grew up right before their eyes. 'Cept for one vile man, the old buzzard clearly hates anything that lives from plants to pets to kids. He once told a neighbor that he'd bury her dog alive💀

Weirdly in my experience, no lol
My older neighbours have been leaps and bounds better!
My current neighbours (3 of them) are amazing! One lot have seen me grow up as well! They've lived there since before I was born!
To the left of me used to live behind me lol they're super nice!!!
Infront are semi new, but still super nice! All four of our households have a group chat to help each other out! Which is great atm as 2 households have covid (not mine)
My newest neighbours are the youngest... and my god they're a pain in my ass xD
So I'd take elderly neighbours any day!!

Where are you in birth order (oldest? middle? youngest?) and do you think it affects your personality?

I'm the middle child. And yes I think it really affects my personality and who I am now, I guess... :/ Being the middle child is really something tbh, we're like both angel and devil lol.
Nahh fr, as a middle child (as for me I'm the 2nd child out of 3)- for example if I ask my sis to buy/get me something but she refuse or like if my sis treats me bad etc, yeah I feel sad, so that makes me don't want to be like that to my lil brother, cuz I know how it feels when your eldest siblings treat you bad, so as a sister to my lil bro I don't want him to feel that way tho (':

I remember the name of the movie was "the Jewellery Box" / in german: Das Schmuckkästchen. I went there with my fiancé spontaneously and we knew for sure this was not going to be our movie because the audience was like... 50+. So we were the youngest audience there. And we also fell asleep during the presentation of this movie. X'D It was really not worth the money.

Parents: use this thread to brag about y’all kids.

jazzie has always been complimented by doctors and her teachers that she is bright, and her current teacher told me she's the youngest in class yet smartest. a lot of it is natural, rest is because i taught her above her age level.

I love it because I myself got 5 sisters and I'm the youngest one and I have seen my aba actually helped us become empowered and independent so "HUM TUM" gives out so many messages ,the best of lot being "betiyaan rehmat Hoti Hain " and more of focusing on acknowledging mother element in upbringing of children

Have you ever been to Disneyland? I’m taking my youngest daughter there next week! While my oldest and my wife go to Hawaii.. you know I would have liked to go to Hawaii but I wasn’t asked by Lexies Girl Scout troop to chaperone. 😡. So what if I didn’t get certified by their cliquey organization??

Not Disneyland but I have been to Disneyworld. Tbh it was overrated to me. I hope Disneyland is way better. Hawaii may be awesome, but the special daddy daughter time y'all are getting at Disney can't be topped❤️

I've never been to disneyland, just disney world.
I was a girl scout for a hot minute but my scout leader asked my mom if there wasn't something I'd rather be doing because I was so snotty about not participating with the Christian stuff so I was essentially asked to quit

Been many times and love it! I personally think it’s better than Disney World bc it’s a much more manageable size. You guys will have an awesome time but tbh do will your wife and oldest haha

🍃The Seelie Court🍃

“It would be a mistake to think of the Seelie Court as safe ground where we can rest. There is an old saying that the only difference between Seelie andUnseelie is that the Unseelie do evil in the open, and the Seelie hide it.” — Mark Blackthorne
Seelie Court faeries expect courtesy and favors to be fulfilled; otherwise, they demand retribution and avenge what they see as insult or offense. Despite the facade of benevolence, they are in fact quite deceptive and self-serving, prone to mischief and tricks. Though faeries cannot lie, they are not always fully honest, often twisting their words and speaking half-truths.
Lillith was the youngest of their siblings. The oldest child to the queen being their sister and not much later their brother, ending up with them as the third to be born. They is the wild and the rebel one, not so happy about the family bussiness and with no interest in being queen, the independent and free of responsabilities life is their goal. As much as their kind, Lillith is a very openly sensual person, affecting the others by their presence, its easy to manipulate and control whoever could have an interest in their gender/person. The Seelie can manipulate and change their looks, age, gender and so goes on, their powers are as vast as their age range as almost immortals.

What does music mean to you personally?

Music, to me, is one of the most magical art forms available. My theory is that it's because music is intangible. As far as I know, the closest thing to a physical representation of music ever created is a vinyl record. It's music converted into plastic grooves, but you can't look at a vinyl and experience the song. You have to put a needle on it and amplify it and yadda yadda yadda. Here's a further example of what I mean: If I look at a painting, I can, with however much effort, understand what the artist is trying to say. Just by looking at it. But I will never be able to look at a record and understand the depth and meaning that the artist is trying to convey. I HAVE to hear it. That whole concept just continuously blows me away every time I think about it.
Personally, I don't think music means something to everyone. I've met people who genuinely don't listen to music. Like ever. They just live their lives in silence, I guess. (I don't get it, but they seem content.) But I think that just adds to the magic of music. It's almost like not everyone is able to harness it which, while tragic, is fascinating. Lastly, my inspiration often comes from what I couldn't or don't know how to express to others. In other words, I use music to say what I can't. Sometimes words alone aren't enough to illustrate a thought I have. I don't mean that my thought processes are on another level, but, rather, that I can't personally articulate some of the things I feel. Furthermore, if I could phrase my thoughts clearly, I don't know that I'd always want to. Sometimes I feel like when I share with people I'm putting a burden on them, BUT if I can phrase my thoughts in such a way that others want to hear them or that others find beauty in them, then... I feel content. But it isn't until I feel that I've properly expressed myself, while also creating something I think is worth listening to, that I'll be happy. Some may say that's not healthy, but... Well it might not be. I don't know, I'm not a doctor. I am the youngest of 4 children. My brother is a year and a half older, my sisters 8 and 10 years older. Never mind that I was reading since I was 4 years old, it always felt like everybody was better than me at everything, until school when that reading thing had me marked as "gifted" and made school socially awkward. We went to local concerts, our parents had gigantic record collections, and my grandparents on dad's side all played instruments and bought home organs. Dad bought a piano for the house when I was 6 years old, and we all tried to play, but I was the only one who kept going.
A crutch, mostly. It's basically all I've ever been good at, at least to any useful degree. It's a reason to get up in the morning, a reason to hustle every day, a thing to connect with other humans over, I kinda rely on music to just exist.

What was the youngest you remember having a crush on someone? I learned yesterday a little boy in my daughters class has a huge crush on her. He bought her a big box of chocolates for her on Valentine’s Day and tried talking his mom into buying flowers for her!

I had a crush on a boy when I was in primary school!
He was like the rebel kid in a way lol
Looking back on it now, it was so stupid xD
I''m still in contact with him. He backpacks around the world now and shares what he sees with people! He's very much a free spirit which is something I admire in people.
Still not sure what made me crush on him at the time though haha
