QUESTION: Is absolute equality ever possible?

No. And the reason is because no two humans are equal. Every human is different, so instead of attempting to force a square into a round hole, we should learn to celebrate our differences while acknowledging the fact that we are more alike than different.

I believe that equality under the law is a goal that all societies should strive to achieve, and I honestly believe that equality under the law is possible because it already has been achieved in some western democracies, to a lessor or greater degree, even though some "progressive liberals" would deny that fact.

---

What I strongly oppose is this "woke" notion of equal outcomes that is based upon the false premise that all humans are equal. Please allow me to challenge the reader with a few questions that appeal to ones common sense:
- Is a man who is 6ft 5 in equal to a man who is 5ft? No. One man is taller than the other man.
- Is a man who weighs 300lbs equal to a man who weighs 150lbs? No. They are of different weight.
- Is a the person with an I.Q. of 70 of the same intellect as the person with an I.Q. of 120? No.

I could go on, but I hope the reader understands my point that no two humans are alike. Instead, we are all "different" but were created in God's image and therefore we are all brothers and sisters who are more similar than dissimilar. We all have two eyes, one nose, two arms, one heart and so forth. And it is our similarities that should unite us; unfortunately, some use our differences to divide us creating conflict while increasing divisions based upon race and gender.

- We are all different.
- We are not equal physically or intellectually, but our goal should be to achieve equality (equal opportunity) under the law. Often referred as "justice for all" or "justice is blind."
- Equal outcomes negates the principle of equal opportunity. In other words, whenever equal outcomes are applied, equal opportunity is denied. Equity is inherently unfair because it makes competition for employment or college admission, for example, totally unfair. The white female who has the highest test score and has proven to be the most qualified, is denied the job opportunity or college acceptance because of her skin color, is unfair. The black male who is denied a scholarship because of his gender or skin color, is unfair. The white male who is attacked and denied opportunity because of his skin color and gender is not only unfair, it is reverse racism and therefore, it too is unfair.

Equality of outcome (equity) subverts equality of opportunity. Equal opportunity doesn't mean a thing when you can’t use that "opportunity" to demonstrate your competence.

Vado per deduzione che la domanda si riferisca ai generi musicali e posso dire con assoluta certezza che non c'è un genere i cui fan siano più o meno tossici. Tutti i generi e tutti gli artisti hanno (o possono avere) una determinata frangia di fan più o meno tossici e spesso determinate faide sono portate avanti, più che dagli artisti stessi, proprio da questi ultimi (Metallica e Megadeth, in ambito metal, sono la punta dell'iceberg e, nonostante si siano riappacificati da anni c'è ancora una frangia di fan che deve necessariamente insultare la band opposta e/o glorificare la propria preferita, in funzione di tale spaccatura). Di conseguenza, menzionare generi talvolta basati sul dissing come la trap o il rap di una volta come i generi con la fanbase peggiore non ha senso, dato che sono dissing il 99% delle volte privi di senso e che, se anche ne avessero, tanto vale accettare lo stato attuale delle cose, piuttosto che imbarcarsi in crociate ideologiche con la convinzione di cambiare le cose – nonché andando a screditare quel che sta sull'altro piatto della bilancia in funzione unicamente della propria preferenza.
In questo senso è proprio questa linea di pensiero tossica a fare la differenza, non il genere di musica a definire autonomaticamente il fan.
Personalmente – e qui parlo da metallara indefessa – piuttosto che andare a sparare che so, sull'ultimo album di Taylor Swift giusto perché non mi piace il genere, preferirei andarmi a godere i Black Sabbath, ci risparmierei tempo e acidità.
Potrei sviscerare ulteriormente la questione andando a toccare i vari tipi di 'tossico' che si possono intendere (di cui il dissing e la svalutazione sono solo che i fenomeni più comuni, e che io ho preso a mò di esempi), ma ritengo di essere stata sufficientemente esauriente ed esplicativa, quindi peace, love and metal ~ 🤘🏻🖤

I woke up from a nap on Sunday evening to find that we were being voluntarily evacuated. I considered sending my wife and daughter ahead so that I could watch over our home, but found that only my vehicle had a full tank of gas. Thus, my truck was packed with the few things we felt comfortable grabbing, plus our three cats packed into bankers boxes, my wife, and daughter. We were too hurried to grab any food. We found ourselves on the highway traveling south at about three miles per hour with about 150,000 of our closest friends. We left at around 7pm and arrived in Roseville about 1:30 AM. It’s normally a 45 minute drive. I saw more than one person open carrying a firearm. Still, with the exception of a few people who were caught looting, we did okay. The storm passed, the dam stayed intact, and we went home the next day. What did I do? Aside from driving, I eventually read books, slept, etc. Second, we had the Camp Fire (2018). I think most people have heard about it. I’m not sure if it counts as “weather,” but it certainly should. The Air Quality Index sometimes read well over 400. School let out a day early for Fall Break because we were worried about kids breathing in the very visible ash falling from the sky. What did we do? We spent as much time indoors as possible. We waited for rain. We cursed PG&E. We watched TV. We read books. We watched the news. We grieved for our friends and neighbors to the North who had lost homes and lives. Living in the Midwest cold weather sucks period but a remember back in 2001 being on a job site where the weather was -5 with a windchill of -23. There comes a point where you’re so bundled up in under armor cold gear and carhardts that you cannot stay warm or move effectively where you just need to get in your can and go home.
Back in 1991 I had to run away from Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines. In the same day, we had a typhoon, a volcanic eruption, and earthquakes. I was smart and ran to my then-wife’s family in Pangasinan, then went to Wallace Air Station in San Fernando, La Union. I have had the unusual experience of seeing 2 mushroom clouds over the spot where my house used to be! Most of my friends, however, went to Olongapo, the home of Subic Naval Base. There, they got whacked with a direct hit by the typhoon, the earthquakes, and the ashfall from the eruption. At the height of the typhoon, while it is raining black mud, the recall siren goes off and all the military people need to go stand out in the falling mud. Best part? The recall siren went off due to a short circuit!
Power was out for nearly two weeks, school was delayed, three people had been killed by flying debris. My sister and I spent a week at our grandparents’ house as roads were cleared. When power came back on, I heard whoops of delight along the street. The storm was a “derecho” a rare event where several thunderstorms merge together into something like a mini-hurricane.
