A legitimate conversation - (in Arabic though)
My brother: Mum, I can't find anyone to buy weed from.
My mum: why do you want weeds?
Me: No mama, he means weeD, as in marijuana.
Mum: oh *a sudden realisation* you can
come with me to work, they're mohashisheen (stoned, in Arabic it means they're loopy and disoriented).

How does paracetamol know which part of the body is hurting?

Alrighty Anon, when you're in pain, your nervous system sends out a hormone-like compound called prostaglandins to that specific area. It is thought that paracetamol reduces the production of this compound. In essence, it numbs the pain for a bit, not get rid of it.
I am not a medical professional, this was a Google search. Interesting question though!

What personality trait do you admire in other people?

Listening. It may sound easy, just sit and not talk, right? Wrong. It's a skill, one that so so many seem to lack. Those people who make you feel like what you're saying is super interesting are few and far between. You talk and talk, and the next time they open their mouths, you realise they almost did not hear a word you said you did not care for whatever was spewing out of your mouth. Good conversationalists are hard to come by unfortunately.

I wish I could warn my younger self about himself.

Regrets are the worst. But you know what? Learn from this experience. You don't have the power to change your past, but you sure as hell have some reasonable control of your future. You know what to do. Be a Bad Bitch(TM). You got it in you.

My reading chair! It's a little nook in my room dedicated to the hallucinations inflicted by dead tattooed trees.

Do you think of yourself that you are a good person?

AhmadBakheitMndo’s Profile Photo∆HMED
Honestly, this a difficult question to answer. One the one hand, I know I was raised right and I have morals. Except, I enjoy testing said morals and the limits that get thrown at me just for the hell of it. But I would never do it to intentionally hurt others, but to myself, I am one reckless dumbass.

How do you say no in a polite way?

Depends on what I am saying no to and to whom. But usually I just smile politely and say that I won't be able to make it or I am not interested. Only give an explanation if they ask.

Do you see a clear path for your life, or is your future unclear?

AhmadBakheitMndo’s Profile Photo∆HMED
Some time ago, I thought I did. I thought I knew exactly what it is that I wanted to do with my life. Now? I am honestly not sure. As a person who enjoys taking risks, that side of me is content with the future being unclear. But at the same time, I am hobestly terrified.

Can you suggest me some good books to read?

Anon, I love you. Of course I can! Tell me what genres you like and I'll give you another list but books that I personally think no one can hate are the following:

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes
Animal Farm by George Orwell
1984 by George Orwell
Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
The Maze Runner series by James Dashner
Wonder by RJ Palacio
Broken Empire series by Mark Lawrence
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Alice by Christina Henry
Red Queen by Christina Henry
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden

What is your favorite pastime? Anything at all? Eating out? Watching a sports event? Movies? Parties? What?

Bocepous’s Profile PhotoRobin Hood
When I am feeling particularly lazy, or any time at all for that matter, I adore reading. Watching football matches with my family is always a blast.
When I want something more physical, I love long walks in the city by myself. Yes, I sometimes end up in the library, but that was inevitable. Tennis and rowing are favorite pastimes too.

Why do people have children if they almost constantly complain how tiring and stressful it is?

AhmadBakheitMndo’s Profile Photo∆HMED
I think that children are, unfortunately, more and more seen as accessories than actual children. People fall into this trap when they aren't ready to be parents and then complain. However, having a kid is tiresome so I get why first time parents would. The problem lies when thry complain after they grew up. Like you coulda used a condom and avoided this shit, I won my race fair and square and don't blame me because you needed to get laid one night. Sheesh.

Worst thing you've done in school?

bxvcrnd’s Profile Photob
Tripped the fire alarm by "accidentally" starting a fire during science because we had maths next and I wasn't ready for the test. It could have escalated really quickly, looking back I don't know why I didn't just set the fire alarm off. 11 year old me was so extra, damn.

Why is fear so powerful that it causes people to not function properly?

AhmadBakheitMndo’s Profile Photo∆HMED
Consequence. It's not the action that inhibits us per se as it is the ramifications that come along with it. Say you lived in Nazi Germany in the early 1940s and were against Hitler and his ideologies. You know speaking out is the right thing to do and you want to do it but you "can't" because the consequence, in this example it is death or torture, outweighs the benefit.
Villianous scoundrels use fear because they know people don't want to get hurt. Safety is an extremely vital instinct that everyone is born with, take it away and people would do anything to get it back.

What is the best thing about being alive?

BOOKS. BOOKS. MORE BOOKS. AND LIBRARIES. AND BOOKS. DID I MENTION BOOKS???
People's imaginations arw wonderful! Brilliant! With just a combination of 26 letters you transport people toagical places, take amazing adventures, with. Just. Words.
It's one of the few things I love about the human race. Some symbols that make sense and you create a world of infinite possibilities and complex characters.
I. Love. Books.
