The sun shines because nuclear fusion releases energy in the form of light (and heat). Water flows because liquid particles are more loosely bounded than solid particles, giving them definite volumes but not shapes.

http://ask.fm/antidem/answer/127913833921 Even so, is there anything *wrong* with the aforementioned idea of equality before the law (as in, two criminals getting a fair trial and receiving the same sentence for the same crime)?

I don't have any problem with the idea of fair trials under due process of law for accused criminals. Of course, there are plenty of details there for the devil to get into. What's "fair"? What does a good trial process look like? Good questions.
But if we're talking philosophy - the *idea* of fair trials for the accused - then sure, I'm fine with that.

Ever thought of making money off your NRx-related writing?

I'm up for it but unfortunately I don't think the New York Times is looking to fill a neoreactionary slot on their editorial page.
Anita Sarkeesian has made hundreds of thousands of dollars, both in donations and corporate sponsorship, for failing to make YouTube videos about how oppressed she is. Meanwhile, brilliant reactionaries like Bryce or Mike or Dampier scrape by in poverty or write their blog posts during lunch hour at their day jobs. Hell, even Moldbug had to quit so he could go work on his startup. In a reasonable world, @jokeocracy would be the new host of the Daily Show. But as The Bechtloff says, we don't live in Shouldland. The system selects for what it wants, not what is best. Nobody's making money at this gig, and that's not going to change anytime soon.

What's so wrong with Egalitarianism, or being equal at least the under law?

Because the idea that equality exists among humans, both individuals and groups, is nonsense. And if there's anything that the 20th century should have taught us, it's that basing governments on nonsense ideas doesn't ever end well.

You said that only with the passion of Jesus Christ did God become truly qualified to judge the souls of men. That's compelling as poetry but theologically how do you reconcile meaningful change with perfection?

What "meaningful change" are we talking about, exactly? That sounds like some kinda slogan Democrats use.

Do people fantasize about zombie apocalypses because they represent an escape from the horrors of modernity?

"Zombies"
Yeah, I think we all get the metaphor here, don't we?

What do you think of the Sad Puppy saga?

Vox Day and Larry Correia's problem is that they still care about the approval of the institutions that have been taken over by SJWs. Kudos to Vox for founding Castalia House so that people with political opinions that render them unpublishable by any other outfit are now publishable - he's got the right idea there. But why does he give enough of a damn about the Hugo Awards to even bother stacking them in his favor? Who cares?
The right strategy is to leave the SJWs an empty Stonecutter Lodge full of colobus monkeys and go start the Ancient Mystic Society of No Homers on our own. Any other approach is a waste of time.

I like my daughter, but I don't love her in the same sense that I do about my wife.

Apparently Ask.FM now allows questions to be submitted by Cream Lemon characters.

What happened exactly (be as vague as you like)?

If it were only me, I'd be happy to discuss it, but it involved other people as well, so I'm really not at liberty to talk about it.

http://ask.fm/antidem/answer/127879684289 But "liking" and "loving" are similar in nature, the former is just weaker than the latter. Hence, if you don't like a person, you can't love him. (And no, neither implies you have to turn a blind eye to immorality.)

That's a very weak and one-dimensional understanding of what love is. Look into the Greek concepts of agape/phileo/eros as different kinds of love. Why would any culture have three different words for love? That implies that not all love is of the same substance. You can feel one type for someone, but not another.

Please don't go. The proles need you. They look up to you.

They can read the blog - that's not going anywhere. In fact, now that I'm leaving Twitter I'll probably be posting there even more frequently. And here, too. I'm not disappearing off the face of the Earth, and I have a lot of fight left in me.

Why are you leaving Twitter?

Personal reasons that I'm not prepared to discuss in an open, public forum. I still believe in The Cause, don't worry. Like I said, I'll keep writing at the blog, the book club will continue, and I'll keep Ask.FM open. I'll still be around, just not on Twitter.

Will you be saving your Reactionary Sunset Shimmer images?

Oh. I guess I forgot about those. I dunno - it was fun I guess. Maybe I'll find another way to post some someplace. Or hey - feel free to make some of your own.

Do most men think that women urinate out of their vaginas?

Yeah, I saw this skit on Royal Canadian Air Farce back in the day. "I don't pee out of my nipples!" Good stuff.

I feel that "cuck" is overused, discuss.

Okay, so you feel the word is overused. Whaddaya want, a medal?
