What I think is important about this shooting is that this guy was sexually frustrated. I can understand what he must have been through.

Cool Story, Bro

Real thoughts on the UCSB shooting?

No.
Sorry, but these shootings have become canvases onto which people of all political stripes project their confirmation biases. I don't want any part in that.

"i think elliot rodger is a pretty cool guy. eh shoots ucsb and doesn't afraid of anything." I possible sense sarcasm...???

Google the "Pretty Cool Guy" meme.

How does a person become a neoreactionary? What are the psychological factors and life events which drive people to a political philosophy so outside the Overton window?

Being introverted and mildly antisocial helps. You don't - you can't - buck the prevailing wisdom as much as we do if you're the kind of person who gives a damn what the herd thinks, or who gets their ideas from the prevailing zeitgeist as received in a classroom or through a TV set. That's what makes the reactionary movement an exercise in "cat herding" sometimes - it's a bunch of high-IQ, idiosyncratic, antisocial, prickly intellectuals who don't like being told what to think.

What do you think about Elliot Rodger?

i think elliot rodger is a pretty cool guy. eh shoots ucsb and doesn't afraid of anything.

"Why is it that all these desperate socialists and communists are at the same time such incredible skinflints, so avaricious, so keen over property, and, in fact, the more socialistic, the more extreme they are, the keener they are over property... why is it?" What do you think about this?

Just as nobody is more obsessed with sex than a Puritan, nobody is more obsessed with money than a Socialist.

How about liberalism instead of socialism?

I would not could not embrace the left
I would not or of principles I am bereft
I would not could not if it's liberalism
I would not could not if it's socialism
I would not could not in the east
I would not could not in the west
I do not like this leftist thought
I do not like what it has brought
I do not like this leftist scam
I do not like it, ADA I am.

Excluding the invincible ignorance, do you believe there can be salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Who's supposed to be ignorant now?

Mizuho Kazami owns my heart. Goddamn woman.

Yeah. Definitely fits the profile of everything I'm looking for in a mate. Too bad they don't make 'em like that anymore. Modernity destroyed them.
So I will destroy Modernity in return.

first book you read?

My dad used to read The Hobbit to me as a bedtime story, a few pages at a time each night. It was the edition illustrated by stills from the Rankin/Bass cartoon. We went through it front to back many times over.

I like how people object to communism because it's authoritarian. As if authoritarianism is always bad.

How many bales of hay did it take the build that straw man?

What do you believe should be done with homosexuals?

Ten years ago - even five - I would have said live and let live: that as long as homosexuals go discreetly about their business, they should be discreetly ignored. I still want to believe that's possible, but I no longer do. They have proven that they are either at your feet or at your throat. Their morals will dominate, or ours will, and there is no middle ground. Unfortunately, regretfully, I would impose long prison sentences at hard labor for homosexual acts. I wish it could be otherwise, but I've come to conclude that it can't.

Do you know of any good reactionary podcasts?

Radix Journal/Vanguard Radio, traditionalRIGHT, and Derb Radio. I also recommend Advice Line with Roy Masters, a great and long-running show by a rightist, pro-Christian spiritual guru. James Howard Kunstler is an old-time lefty, but a rather non-mainstream one, and though I don't agree with every single one of his ideas, his KunstlerCast has a lot of worth to it, and some good ideas that traditionalists might want to think about.

What do you prefer about NRx compared to run of the mill paleoconservatism?

I'm not sure I see a hard distinction between the two. I see it - and all of the alt-right, really - more as a continuum than a set of factions. In fact, I think factionalism is potentially an incredibly destructive force for a movement that's got enough challenges ahead of it as-is without descending into civil war.

We are just mindless atoms. We are just spectators in life. We are programmed machines. We are all atheists to some degree. Nothing lasts forever, including European traditionalism. Since we can't choose, I hope that you neocons embrace diversity! We are all equal. Listen to Mackelmore bro!
