Is California worth moving to anymore?

No.
Remember that leftism always creates the exact opposite of what it claims to be setting out to do. In 1962, California was quite literally the worker's paradise that Marxism always claimed it was going to provide. The booming, wisely-managed economy was a tide that lifted all boats. There were plentiful, well-paying jobs for both blue and white collar workers under perfect weather with lots of leisure time. There was no lack of space; houses could be big and yet still reasonably priced. Being far from New York or Boston, life was more relaxed and less stuffy. People were optimistic; even the architecture still left from that time reflects it - Googie-style buildings with swooping lines which looked like The Jetsons might live there.
Even when I moved here in the mid-90s, things were still pretty good. Silicon Valley was booming, but its success hadn't yet made the cost of living intolerable. The state was left of center, but a libertarian streak still ran through its politics. Centrist Republicans still sometimes got elected Governor. Taxes were high but not yet backbreaking. Shocking, overt, assaultive degeneracy was largely confined to a couple of neighborhoods in San Francisco. Violent crime was technically high, but easy to avoid if you stayed out of a few bad neighborhoods. Classes at the university I attended were still largely apolitical, and taught the subject at hand instead of the professors' pet political views. That was the year that Proposition 187 - denying welfare to non-citizens - passed (and was in effect for perhaps six months before an unelected, unaccountable judge unilaterally threw it out because reasons.)
But now? California is desperately overcrowded, horribly polluted, and quickly running out of resources. The infrastructure built in the 60s is crumbling, and a state that has blown all its available cash on welfare for scofflaw illegal aliens largely can't afford to fix it. Meanwhile, a state government that in a couple of decades of making promises has proven unable to extend the BART metro train line the twenty miles from Fremont to San Jose, makes grand promises about a 400-mile high-speed rail line between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Opportunity still exists if you graduated from MIT, Duke, or CalTech with a 4.0 GPA in computer science, but otherwise, the pickings are slim indeed. The government subsidizes dysfunction, and the state gets more than it can handle. Taxes are crushing, and the cost of living is astronomical. California's libertarian streak is largely gone - driven underground by politically correct vigilante squads or moved to greener pastures in Nevada or Texas - and the nanny state grows more intrusive by the day. If you're white, count on feeling like a stranger in your own country. As the economy slowly drifts towards the rocks, frightening, aggressive beggars become more omnipresent.
California is proof that there is no paradise so idyllic that leftism can't completely fuck it up.

What is your problem with women? If you just prefer cuteboys why blame women for that?

When you say "women", what do you mean? Do you mean actual, genuine, pre-feminist, pre-postmodern women? I'm just barely old enough to remember encountering a few of those in person; they were old when I was a kid, but I remember them clearly. You can also see them in old movies or read about them in old books. Anime, in its own way, gives us an imagined revival of them. It seems to me that they are mythical creatures; godlike, elevated, beautiful beyond contemplation. It's often hard to believe that the accounts of them found in old books could really be accurate. Could anything so sublime have really walked the earth? Or are we being told another fairy tale, like those about dragons and unicorns and giants? These are disillusioning times, but deep down, I want to believe that the old stories are true.
Or perhaps do you mean the XX-chromosomed pseudo-men that we find around us now? Do you mean the "Sex in the City" female; crushed into something unrecognizable as what they once were, like the first orcs, who Sauron's dark magic created out of elves? Do you mean these - childless, alcoholic, utterly dependent on antidepressants to keep going because deep down the knowledge of what they've become has filled them with inescapable existential misery? A misery that postmodern society forbids them to blame on its true source, and so they take it out on anybody - and especially anybody male - within their reach? Is that what you mean?
If the latter, then it should be clear enough why I want nothing to do with them.

Best year during your lifetime?

You mean personally, or for he world at large? If the former, then probably 1999. That was the year I lived in Japan, in a tiny village in the mountains, with a young lady who I was quite fond of. I was very young and very foolish, and did the whole thing wrong, and it was the best year of my life.

Can we be friends?

Are you a /cuteboy/? Are you part of the RWDS? Do you Deus Vult? Then the answer may be yes!

Your neighbors are spics. Why don't you move away?

I don't hate Hispanics. One on one, I quite like them, in fact. That's not the problem. The problem is sheer numbers. If California was 90% white, 5% Asian, and 5% Hispanic, everything would be fine. But that's not how it is, and it's the numbers that make this game untenable.
Look, I like cats. I'd date a woman who owned a cat. I'd date a woman who owned two cats. But I wouldn't date a woman who owned 40 cats, because at some point it's just too damn many cats. The problem is in the numbers.

Any podcasts or blog posts coming out soon?

Well, that's the plan. The thing is, between having been sick for a couple of weeks, the demands of my day job, and a commission writing gig I've been offered (on some very generous terms), my plate is pretty full just at the moment. I don't mean to leave people hanging, and I'll get back to things as soon as I can, but the truth is that the blog and podcasts don't pay anything, and right now I need to put some money together, so if anything has to give, it's got to be that. That's not my preferred state of affairs, but reality is what it is.
So the short answer is - yes, as soon as I can.

What's "Gab"? I've seen it referenced elsewhere but I've never looked into it. Is it a worthwhile service?

It's a Twitter clone whose selling point is that it's not run by dismal SJWs. All the alt-right cool kids are going there. I've been trying it for a few days, and it seems promising. It's at http://gab.ai if you're interested.

Women can no more help toying with men's feelings than cats can help hunting mice, or birds can help eating bugs. Why is Twitter the worst medium for these kind of shenanigans?

Well, either way, I'm off of it except for the side account I use for the sole purpose of trolling the Twitter Shoutouts segment of True Capitalist Radio. And I'm glad of it. Hopefully, Gab will never have the same problem.

What did the women do that caused you to leave Twitter?

There's nothing to be gained by airing that dirty laundry in public.

Have you seen the debate? What do you think? And who won?

The #1 thing - very nearly the *only* thing - Trump needed to do tonight was to not look like a scary bully to normies, especially women. He did that brilliantly. Any criticism of his performance based on any other factor is missing the point.

Who was the woman who killed your interest in Twitter?

There were three of them in quick succession, and I fail to see what naming names would accomplish.

Hmm... So you're on Gab, but still no Twitter?

I had a bad experience on Twitter - in fact, the very experience that finally killed off my taste for women once and for all. I don't share Official NRx's open contempt for them; they just mean nothing to me any longer. I wish them well, I suppose - I just don't want anything more to do with them.

You don't call? You don't write? No blog posts? No videos? Where have you been? Hanging out with Putin? Get back on here. We miss you!

Thank you for the thoughts. As a matter of fact, I've been pretty badly sick for the past week. I'm feeling mildly better now, but am still not at 100%, so you probably won't hear much from me for the next couple of days. Keep checking in, and as soon as I'm in a condition to do much more than sleep, I'll be back on my game.

"British empiricism is objectively both gay and retarded. Traditional Aristotleanism as practiced by the medieval Catholic church is woke." - Yuray Is this indicative of a broader idiocy in the #NRx?

I get the sentiment, but it's way too Totalist. Look, I like scientific technology, which is all the product of that sort of British empiricism. And it's not just niggertech I'm talking about. I like things like refrigerators, which make it so that I don't have to eat (and get sick from) half-rotten food all the time. I like paved roads instead of being ankle-deep in mud every time I walk out my front door. I like anesthesia - take the time to read Fanny Burney's account of the mastectomy she went through in 1811 without any, and you'll see what I mean. All of these things are the products of British empiricism, and I'm thankful to have them.
The problem is not that British empiricism exists, or that the scientific method exists. The problem is that these represent *one* way to look at the world, not *the* way to look at the world. They are excellent tools for answering certain types of questions, and lousy tools for answering other types of questions. We became so enamored of the nice things that these tools brought us that we started to overapply them to areas in which they are the wrong tool and do not belong. We became the man with a hammer to whom the whole world is a nail. We forgot that the best-made hammer in the world still makes for a lousy screwdriver.
But equally wrong is calling hammers "gay and retarded" because they don't make for good screwdrivers. The right tool for the right job makes for a sturdy house.
