Why do you need feminism?

Like a fish needs a bicycle.
There are two kinds of men: anti-feminists and masochists

What do you have against jeans?

Too mannish on women, too prole on men, makes you look like all the other tossers out there.

Have you ever lost the game?

It's all about the game and how you play it.
All about control and if you can take it.
All about your debt and if you can pay it.
It's all about pain and who's gonna make it.
I am the game, you don't wanna play me.
I am control, no way you can change me.
I am heavy debt, no way you can pay me.
I am the pain and I know you can't take me.
Look over your shoulder, ready to run.
Like a good little bitch, from a smoking gun.
I am the game and I make the rules.
So move on out here and die like a fool.
Try to figure out what my moods gonna be.
Come on over sucker, why don't you ask me?
Don't you forget that the price you can pay
Cause I am the game and I want to play....

Sorry - not the 4chan idea of a meme, but the Dawkins idea (his general idiocy aside) - what do you think of memes?

I think they do indeed exist.

Thoughts on the education bubble?

The current higher education system has all the marks of a Sopranos-style bust-out being concluded before a crash. Remember back just before the 2008 economic crash, how gas prices spiked and Congress passed laws making it harder to default on debt, as if somebody knew what was coming and wanted to make some profits and play some CYA before it did? Yeah - like that.
So tuition has gone through the roof and banks are drowning young people in student debt that, degree or no, they will have to pay off. And they are doing that knowing that outsourcing and immigration are taking ever-more jobs, that the robots are coming for the jobs that are left, and that even worse economic times are on the horizon - that there will be no "recovery"; that it's all downhill from here. And that of course is not to mention the effect that the internet, decentralization, parallel institutions, and the anti-university can have on education.
"Equality" means that large numbers of people who are ineducable at a university level are being charged astronomical amounts of money try to get qualifications for jobs that probably won't be there in a few years. How does that sound to you like it's going to turn out?

What is the place of so-called "degenerate art" in a traditionalist monarchy? That is to say, "degenerate" in the sense used by National Socialists where anything that deviates from a narrow conception of traditional beauty is to be suppressed. Would an artist be allowed to create such art?

So long as art is not obscene and does not actively try to denigrate the faith or customs of the polis, it should generally be allowed. It should not, however, be subsidized.

What do you think of the meme meme? Not "lol i troll u" but the idea that ideas can change subtly to facilitate their own transmission, irrespective of their veracity? Do you think there's potential falsities wrapped into Christianity because they found a niche in an offshoot of its logical flora?

Too many words, goober!

Who was a better general, Alexander the Great or Hannibal Barca?

There's a story about that, as I recall. Years after the Punic Wars, Hannibal and Scipio Africanus finally met face to face in a neutral kingdom to which Hannibal had fled after the war. Scipio asked Hannibal who he believed was the greatest general of all time, and Hannibal replied that it was Alexander. With a sly smile, Scipio asked what he would have said if he, Hannibal, had defeated Scipio. Hannibal replied that in that case, he would have answered that it was himself.
A finer compliment could not be devised.

Should internet addiction be a recognized psychological disorder?

I'm not a psychologist, so I couldn't tell you.

Would you be willing to ally with bronies and gamers to take down the Cathedral?

I don't think bronies would be a very realistic option. As for gamers, we'll see what the experience of Gamergate does to their political/philosophical perceptions.

Is it ever okay for men to do female activities?

I'd need you to be more specific about what you mean by that.

Thoughts on copyright?

Living in the Bay Area/Silicon Valley has given me a lot of ideas regarding copyright/patent reform. Here are a few:
1) ALL copyrights and patents will expire every five years unless renewed. This is simply a way to take away any ambiguity involving abandoned works, so the process would not be complicated or expensive. I'd just want somebody to prove they still wanted the thing.
2) Software patents automatically expire as soon as the software package in question is no longer commercially available for sale (this does not apply to older versions of a software package that is for sale in a newer version; just things that are not available at all).
3) All source code for any patented software must be turned over to the patent office in order to receive a patent. This will be kept confidential until the software is out of copyright, then released under an open source license.
4) No patents on general concepts (e.g. swipe-to-unlock). All software patents must include actual source code being copyrighted - no code, no patent.
5) No copyright or patent will last longer than 50 years. At that point, you've made enough off of it. Trademarks, however (e.g. the Coca-Cola logo) may last in perpetuity. This is mainly a consumer protection measure to keep the public from unintentionally buying counterfeits with a genuine-looking logo on it.
Those are the big ones.
