What really is so wrong with using self-harm as a coping technique when it works so well?

because you are permanently harming yourself and others.
you are inflicting future problems upon yourself.
it's unhealthy for your mind and depressing.
and it really doesn't work at all.

Saw that question where someone called you a bitch for not answering questions. Don't listen to 'em. He majority of your followers like me and other people understand that you have things that you do in your life and you don't just sit on ask/make videos all damn day long.

Why don't ppl understand depression? I'm goin through it right now where I don't want to do a damn thing/can't really. I feel like my step mom/dad don't fuckin care or understand although, I haven't explained how I feel but, they'd say stuff like "get over it" or, "stop bein a lil shit" mks me mad

because a lot of teens don't understand depression as well, and a majority of them think they're depressed because their hormones change, they have real responsibility for the first time, and a lot of teens are very ungrateful tbh.
if you can't change your situation, change your perspective.
people who have depression understand, but they're the only ones
