so i should be doing a 3 page paper but i went on a "short" break from writing and decided to check ask and what do i fucking see? NEGATIVITY. NEGATIVITY EVERYWHERE.
(i know it's kind of hypocritical to react negatively about negativity, but whatever, i need to rant)
constantly, i've been seeing anons spreading hate about a lot of the people i follow and look up to. i've been lucky enough not to be subject to the same kind of treatment, but i'm pretty sure it'll only be a matter of time until someone decides to do so.
for days, i've seen people having to deal with "haters." enough is fucking enough.
sure, oh dear, precious haters, you have the right to express yourselves and your opinions. sure. you are allowed to say whatever you want to say. I GET THAT. trust me, i do. what i don't get is WHY you choose to do this. what do you get from it?
is it happiness? do you feel happy when someone reacts to whatever rude thing you've said? is it the satisfaction of seeing someone feel down about himself/herself? is it the thrill of knowing you have the power to make someone feel inferior?
WHAT DO YOU GET FROM IT?
WHEN DO YOU PLAN TO STOP? seriously. are you all just waiting for someone to quit wattpad, or someone to leave, or someone to cry? or is it simply just something you'll stop doing when it gets boring?
sure, you have the right to express yourself. sure, you are entitled to your own opinions. you have the power to use your own words for whatever you want to use them for. WHAT YOU DON'T HAVE, however, is the ability to differentiate what's right from what's wrong. what's okay from what's not. what's stupid from what isn't.
you know what you get from it??? my pity. i pity you. i really do.
