i have an econ exam in t minus 10 hours and it's 12 mn and i haven't studied at all like AT ALL plus i don't have a calculator basically i'm screwed but here i am writing the update for of points and tangents anyway

well, first off, just because the main characters don't end up together doesn't mean that it's a "sad" ending. what people don't realize is that stories are more about the internal journey of a character more than the physical journey. the external events only exist to propel this "internal journey." kyla started off as bitter and angry and unable to face the past, and she ended up happy and content and wise enough to deal with her problems. the ending would have been sad if she still ended up bitter and angry and heartbroken and pathetic.
second, if put in terms of real life, people shouldn't think that not ending up together is "sad." it's not. it's just the way things are sometimes.
third, i may not have written a concrete ending that shows them ending up together or whatever, but that doesn't mean that that's where their story stops. it's where the "novel" stops, but the not the character's lives. sure, i never said they ended up together, but i never said they didn't either, and i don't see how some people can't see to grasp that.

write about what you know because only then will you really be able to write from the heart.
i'm not saying you should write only of 14 yo characters or whatever, nor am i saying you shouldn't write about something you haven't yet done. what i mean is that you should write about things that you believe to be true. of your perception of the world around you. of the way you view each image through your eyes.
write in the hopes that you'd give someone a glimpse of your "truths," because we all see the world differently. we all have different interpretations of life as we know it. we all have unique takes on everything that happens and your truths deserve to be heard just as much as a 45 yo published author.

Reading any good books lately?

i haven't had much time to read lately bUT I'M STARTING TO HAVE AN OBSESSION WITH SPOKEN POETRY. i've been listening to sarah kay's and phil kaye's works on youtube recently and every poem inspires me like i can't even

Ouch. I feel you, I'm not even safe in my sleeps anymore. Nightmares about forgetting stufd and blanking out during the exam. I wake up frustrated. Ugh

yeah i guess it's also annoying though because people are confused and then they freak out but i explained it all in authors notes that they wONT FUCKINV READ. and idk i'm just more of a tea girl in general that's like our main drink, we're famous for it 8)
