Did you like TFIOS? I mean it was sourly disappointing, considering the hype around it. What do you think of John Green's writing? Do you think making the movie might've made the book less feasible?
I read TFIOS before the "hype" even started. It was during those times when not a lot of people knew about it yet. The people who'd seen me reading it all went "what's that?" and I'm like "idk yet" so I didn't have any expectations whatsoever, therefore, not much disappointment there.
John Green's a brilliant writer. He makes simple plots work out just fine because of the sort-of-life-lessons the readers might pick up from them and the honesty portrayed in each work. Though I /am/ irked at the fact that his female characters tend to have that manic pixie dream girl persona, but I don't deny that I enjoy reading his books.
Bleh. I have yet to find a movie adaptation that doesn't fully butcher some book so I'm really neutral on this one since I didn't expect much from it anyway.
