35 K words babe ;) i've actually tried that ilys.com thingy to see if it actually helps and IT DOES FOR ME. like, i get 1k done within less than an hour because of it hahahahahaah

What advice/tips would you give new Wattpad users?
tips:
make friends. don't just randomly post on people's message boards saying "i followed you, follow me!!" because wattpad isn't about having followers at all.
read stories. actually read them and post genuine comments. i've made a lot of friends through this.
enjoy what you're writing. don't just post a random story with "bad boy" in the title because you /think/ it will make readers gravitate to your story. unless you /genuinely/ want to write about this bad boy and you intend to use this cliche and turn it into something original. if you're only writing it to attract readers and not because you honestly have this great purpose for adding a bad boy to your story, then don't write it at all. it's been written before and another one from you won't make a difference. (this sounds good in my head, but idk if it makes sense written out this way haha)
don't be an asshole. don't be rude. don't be that person who blatantly expresses their hate. wattpad has enough of those already.
forget about the whole followers/reads/votes/comments thing. wattpad was made for reading and writing stories and interactions between reader-writer (who usually become friends). while it may seem disheartening to see that your story has 0 votes or whatever, don't let that bring you down.
and to be blunt: if, for example, your story is in chapter 7 and you still have 0 votes, your story (i'll be blunt here) probably SUCKS. i know this seems rude, but i just believe it to be the truth. your plot probably sucks, or your grammar, or your overall writing. you can't mope about not having votes and comments when you're not even taking the time to actually write something readable. no amount of advertising in the clubs (or for assholes, in stories and message boards) will get you votes if your story sucks. the only way to get over this is to /improve/ and see what's wrong with your story. fix it. improve. keep writing. it'll get better, i swear.
(the last one is probably entirely out of the blue and utter off-handed but idk i just felt like saying it)

i hit 35 yaaaaayyyyy but really, when i get to editing it, i cringe and just ask myself "what on earth was i thinking while writing this chapter" because most of it usually makes little sense hahaha and it's actually kind of amazing how you still manage to write with everything else going on :) it just happens to be my break from school so i can write a lot haha

You were Shy??? Hahahaha you're too cute, Sammy. I feel ya, though, bc I'm basically the same way. Sa tanda kong to, nahihiya pa ako makipagusap sa mga bata. XD It takes a lot of courage for me to talk to young people. When they start talking to me, then i know they really want to talk to me. :P
hahaha i'm actually really socially awkward (especially in real life) so i get shy a lot. :) and you're awesome, so we all kind of gravitate to you ;)

I tried, that was my first strategy but it failed man.. which is why I'm going to try it on my mom too... But if i pass finals I must get it
good luck on getting one babe :)) this could be a good story actually hahaha character loses her phone, tries to find something to do with all her free time without her phone, learns a new skill/discovers places/re-learn a sport, meets someone. idk hahahaha
