I kinda want to take up journalism too but can you please give us a wider knowledge about its pros and cons? :D

it really depends on the kind of person that you are! i'm probably not the best person to answer this bc half the time, i'm wondering what an awkward person like me is doing in a communications course, but anyway -
journalism is more a passion than a profession. you can learn to write like a journalist and ace those goddamn articles like a pro but if your heart isn't in it, you'll never have fun with it. it's tedious as fuck. interviewing, trying to retrieve documents, going places to meet sources, keeping up with current events, remembering historical events relevant to current ones, verifying facts, covering an event and having to write an article about it in 2 hours tops - you will not last long if you don't have the passion for it.
i'm in a love-hate relationship with it, so i'm not sure where i stand

is it stupid to be afraid of dying? to never find true love? i does sound stupid coming from a 16 year who hasnt even experienced life. but i read this book last night. and the boy dies leaving the girl in tragedy. then i cried. for almost like an hour. not for them, for my life which i havent seen

i think whatever you're feeling is valid. i honestly don't know what to say bc i don't completely understand what you're going through, but don't be afraid to be afraid, love. all of us are just wading through the unknown. i'm just as clueless about life as you are - as is everyone else.

i'm all for leni winning. or, more appropriately, bbm losing. allegations will remain allegations until proven. besides, it's not that easy to have someone impeached. gma had 4 impeachment complaints against her and lol lool how that turned out. also, please note that the threat of impeachment is always there, regardless of whomever gets elected, so let's not act as if it's such a big deal. bbm has a lot of nerve to say that the lp only wants to ensure that pnoy won't get punished for his mistakes during his term, considering bbm himself is entangled in complicated issues related to the martial law.

thoughts on duterte winning as well as bongbong marcos??

i will give duterte the benefit of the doubt but i will not simply stand by should he make changes that will strengthen the oppression of the marginalized - of women, especially. i'm lucky to be in UP, where student activism is at its peak, and i will not hesitate to rise against him and the people who stand by him should the need arise.
i wish i could say the same about bongbong marcos. he speaks as though he's conjured up an illusion where ferdinand marcos's dictatorship did not leave a trail of blood and loss in its wake. he and all his supporters refuse to see the dark side of the martial law, but we shall #NeverForget. he reeks of his family's debt to the filipino people and he shouldn't even have the privilege to step into malacanang.
nevertheless, i still refuse to see the elections as a solution to the philippines' problems anyway. so long as there are people who continue to breed individualistic thought, the country will never truly achieve inclusive growth. it doesn't matter who the president is if the people continue to think backwards.

the chances are pretty slim. i don't want to have it translated to any language, especially one that i don't speak (which is, like, every language hahahaha). there'd be no way for me to ensure that it doesn't deviate from the original story. i wouldn't even know if it's written well, vocabulary- and grammar-wise.
ah i think you'll find some tips under my most liked, but if there's one tip i can give you, it's that you should always put a little piece of your heart in every story you write.

ahh sarah babe you really don't have to but thank you so so so much! i mean it though. i'd feel bad about you spending money when the printed copy had been cut down so much. (kinda like when a movie adaptation changes the book so much???) i'd feel like i'm ripping you off :(
