It's not that anything has happened, really, but that I just relate to Hadley far too much. How's your internship going? I mean, free food is awesome, but do they make you get coffee like in the movies and stuff? I'm fine. Dreading summer class next week, but I signed up for this myself. :/

it's going all right! at first, they only made me do small stuff like taking care of delivering free copies to the contributors, listing down names from this or that, looking for recipes from old copies and retrieving them from the lib and/or retyping them. my only real assignment at first was this section called the "Eatlist," where we print the press releases coming from brands and restos, and since a lot of those are long and/or horribly written, they ask me to rewrite and reangle them to suit the magazine better, and to shorten them to, like, 70-100 words.
then the editor in chief (miss nina) asked me to rewrite a small portion of an article a few days ago and i think she liked my revisions and started trusting me a little, so when the deadlines week came, they began to let me proofread stuff and miss nina would sometimes tell me my edits are spot on and stuff. they recently assigned an actual article for me last week!

Yeah, I'm doing Camp Nano. I feel like I should reach my goal (10k) because I only have 2 summer classes. But I'll have to actually work through my laziness this time. :/

AHHHH WHAT STORY WILL YOU BE WORKING ON? i find doing nano easier with word wars!! i'm always up for one when i'm not busy so feel free to ask me whenever. (i swear i won't ditch u again like last time :((((( )

i'm spending my break interning for a food magazine and IT'S HONESTLY SO FUN??? like, i really like the environment and can definitely see myself working for a magazine when i graduate (as opposed to actual news agencies). the first half of this year had been rough on me, but i'd like to think i'm slowly picking myself up. AND YOU HOW ARE YOU??????

and think positive!! you'll enjoy senior year and even miss high school a little (albeit begrudgingly) and i'm sure you'll do great! (but just for the record, i don't miss anything about hs other than my friends + how easy it was to get high grades without even trying)

so far, so good!! i haven't been given major assignments yet, but i'd been asked to write minor stuff like 70-word brand writeups for the products we're advertising, and i do most of the "intern" jobs like tidying up, sorting files, looking up stuff from old issues......

i am! i had to send out applications and score an interview and everything. i was so nervous about the whole thing bc i was at an all time low with college in general, and i had 0 confidence in myself. i was scared i wouldn't get accepted into anything. i'm glad i turned out okay, and so far, so good!

i'm doing okay, for the most part. my grades recently came out and i got 2 failing marks and 1 incomplete (i think i might have suffered from walking depression this semester) and it's supposed to be my last year in college next academic year, but bc of the past 2 sems (which were horrible, grade-wise), i might have to stay a year longer. my mom doesn't know but i decided i'm telling her this weekend but i'm so scared so so so so so scared idk how i can possibly show my face to her again when she finds out
