I worked as a Senior Network Engineer for fortune 500 companies for over 40 years until I retired. During that time I worked on designing, installing, configuring and troubleshooting large enterprise networks. Every element within the core network and server farms had redundancy and were protected by firewalls, access lists, network mgmt systems and intrusion protection systems. In the event that we suffered a software or hardware failure the affected systems would failover and their network traffic re-routed automatically without user intervention or down time.

It would likely not work on everyone. I remember when Richard Dawkins tried on the God Helmet that stimulates the parts of the brain that generate spiritual experiences, and despite everyone else having LSD-like responses, he had nothing. Maybe he’s just dead inside. Or was lying.

As everyone knows, illegal firearms are available on the black market and no prohibition has ever worked - not for alcohol, not for drugs and it certainly won't work for firearms. Someone will always fill the demand. Again, firearms aren't the problem. The person who holds them and wishes to harm others is where our focus should be. Moreover, we now know that he had a lengthy history of making v!olent threats, t0rturing animals and apparently, he was being monitored by the authorities for nearly one year. This begs the question: why didn't they intervene? He made his intentions clear on several sites. Was he purposely allowed to carry on in order to incite more calls for gun control? The entire matter seems highly suspicious. Let's consider that the entry to the school was left wide open and unguarded, the security was conveniently away, the local police took almost one hour to enter the school and they attempted to prevent Federal law enforcement (ICE Agents) from entering the building. It was one of those agents who finally managed to enter and take him down. Lastly, how was this "broke" teenager able to afford *thousands of dollars* in weapons and ammunition? There are too many questions and as I have previously stated, a thorough investigation is in order. There is no law or restriction which would have prevented this horror but clearly, there were numerous contributing factors and we deserve reasonable answers.

This is a myth. In the first place, it is not "easy to get a gun" unless it's obtained illegally. Those who advocate for stricter gun control measures *never* make a distinction between legally and illegally obtained firearms. Secondly, licensing and registration are required for legally acquired firearms. In many states, there is nothing "easy" about this process and in some states, it is practically impossible to obtain a firearm through legal means. This is *unconstitutional* and a clear violation of The Second Amendment. Lastly, it is the primary objective because whenever an incident occurs, the only "solution" which is offered by gun control advocates is to ban *all* firearms. They aren't even denying it at this point. They have also invented the fiction "assault weapon" which does *NOT* exist. Firearms are either *automatic* which are illegal to own or sell, or *single shot* and *semi-automatic* which *are* legal. Let's acquaint ourselves with the *facts* before we opine further...

Remember, various countries have implemented legal measures to address these types of issues within the confines of their sovereign nations, but the international community has not codified into law impersonation involving fake askfm accounts unless a serious crime that involves death or extortion has been committed. Also consider that the burden of proof is the responsibility of the plaintiff and their lawyers and all associated legal fees are the responsibility of the plaintiff. These fee's can easily reach in excess of $100k.

I recall reading a similar story a few years ago that took place in Madrid, Spain. The plaintiff went to the police in Madrid and attempted to file a criminal complaint against an askfm user located in Canada. The case was dismissed because the source ip address of the accused was located in Germany and did not match the digital footprint that the alleged victim had provided to the police.

Keep in mind that proving cases like this is extremely difficult because local police lack the resources required to conduct a proper forensic investigation and international laws are either vague or do not currently exist to cover cases involving fraudulent accounts, name calling, insults, racism, etc. on social networks such as askfm, tumblr, twitter, etc.

But hey, if you have $20,000+ dollars to waste on legal fees, why not proceed so you can learn how the legal system operates and perhaps you can become an advocate to champion the necessary changes to affect international law to prosecute askfm users who roleplay, create fake accounts and utilize your photographs without explicit permission.

My husband is actually not a Christian, but just today demonstrated a very nice example of taking leadership in a situation that required it. I have a very bad strain of Lyme disease that was staved off with only two weeks of an antibiotic and my doctor refused to give me more. So the Lyme comes back occasionally and flares up with arthritis-like symptoms in my hip. It usually only lasts 1-2 days and then I'm back to normal and completely pain-free for a year or more. It's back right now with a vengeance, and I keep sitting on a big stuffed couch all curled up and then trying to move and thinking "Crap... my hip is locked... this is extremely painful... and I am stuck." Getting in/out of a vehicle is especially tricky and my husband has had to pull me out of chairs a couple times since yesterday. I AM 27 YEARS OLD AND MOVING LIKE I'M 90!! Very frustrating. A big family party was planned for today and I was planning to spend the day cooking and visiting. Without telling me, my husband quietly texted his mom and told her we won't be there today. Now while I wish he had talked to me first about it, and while I was mad he cancelled when we already said we'd be there, when I think about how my day has suddenly transformed to sitting quietly not having to cook or run around all day, I'm grateful for his leadership and the way he took command of the situation. He knew I WANTED to go. He also knew that I really CAN'T go. Sometimes you need someone else to look out for you and be an advocate for you when you don't advocate for yourself. When the husband is thinking in the best interests of his wife, the dual roles leadership and following can really be a joyful thing.
My parents are a fantastic example of this. My stepdad is absolutely the leader, and though it was completely against every instinct of hers, my mom had learned to submit. It doesn't mean that he micro manages every decision that she makes, nor does it mean that she keeps all opinions and ideas to herself. He values the God in her just as much as the God in himself and trusts the Lord to confirm things within both of them. He's ultimately the one to make the decision, and in their early years, there were a couple of times where he had to go against what she said to make sure they obeyed God. I know that once they were there though, the Lord dealt with her and she got on board real quick. There is so much love and respect between them that submitting to him is no issue and valuing her, and her opinions, comes naturally.

2. university best friend: the closest person and friend I made in uni. he and I are friends who have become family now. a lot has happened between us, but I have no regrets. our traumas and vulnerabilities make us stronger, and better individuals.

it took me three years to be okay with messaging him online, and an additional year to reach out and meet him in person again. it’s been a long journey, but hey? we’re better for it. we message each other almost everyday now. he replies my stories and lets me rant or vent at any hour of the day. I am his cheerleader and fangirl, always sending him memes and cute photos of his favourite animal whenever I come across one on my tumblr or instagram.

Nên cái em muốn tìm hiểu là làm sao để đưa được nhiều cá nhân xứng đáng là nữ đến được thành công. Một ví dụ điển hình là việc phụ nữ không đòi hỏi (như tăng lương) và khi họ có đòi, thì hay bị socially punished và fail. Trong khi đàn ông đòi hỏi là bình thường. Nhưng khi phụ nữ đòi hỏi để advocate cho những người khác chứ không chỉ riêng họ, thì kết quả tốt hơn hẳn. Thì đó là một cách mà mình có thể chế ngự được những bất lợi đối với phụ nữ khi làm việc, và là thứ mà em tin là nên có nhiều nhiều người quan tâm.

I’m definitely not using any of the higher math I suffered through in school, and wouldn’t be even if I were working. I do understand why some of it is taught, but at age 9-15 much of it is honestly unnecessary. When I entered college, I had remembered absolutely no algebra from elementary and secondary school and had to start over from the beginning. What a massive waste of time. High schools need to start focusing more on life skills such as business math, budgeting, financial planning, credit, taxes, cooking (basic math and chemistry included), safety, health/mental health management, sex ed, career planning, and more. Those who want to pursue the much higher maths due to career goals may absolutely do so, but it should not take priority over life skills. Math nerds will riot over this answer, but I don’t care. 😘 My classmates and I had hours of homework every night and on the weekends, and for what? Most of them are selling candles and oils or working in vocational trades (something I advocate heavily - trades are vital). I’ll stop there, but I could go on about this for a long time. I have big opinions about education.
