Mostly pag ulirang mga magulang naman di naman talaga panghihimasok ang gusto nilang gawin. Concerned lang talaga sila sayo at sa future mo, and they mean well naman. Ang mali lang dun is minsan, nakakalimutan nilang makinig sa anak nila thinking their kids would be better off if they follow their plans for them.
Again, usually, di naman nila intention controlin o manipulahin nila mga anak nila — though meron nga sigurong parents na ganun. Gusto lang talaga nila ma-secure ang future ng mga anak nila kaya minsan nagagawa nilang ipagpilit plans and choices nila.

Truly, childhood/family trauma has very different effects on people. It makes some swear to not repeat the same mistakes and work hard to unlearn toxic behaviours & patterns. It makes others become worse versions of what they experienced and exact revenge on future generations

Yeah, people respond and cope with negative experiences in different ways, and childhood trauma is no different.

Di ba andun ka sa wake ng Lola niya? Anyway, siya na pala tumayong breadwinner para sa mga kapatid niya. Saka okay yung ginawa niyang setup na sama2x sila ng mga kapatid niya sa isang bahay pero magkahiwalay sila ng mga pinto. Together pa rin sila pero they have their own privacy.

While it's easy to laugh this off — he was just happy and enjoying his victory, ang seryoso ninyo naman, good vibes lang, etc. — and treat it as nothing, behind this seemingly harmless act is our ever distorted view of masculinity and our blatant tendency to objectify women. Alam naman natin anong nasa isip ng winning boxer habang nakayakap siya sa ring girl, at alam natin anong nasa isip ng mga tao habang aliw na aliw sila sa ginawa niya. Kahit ako, I admit I'm guilty just as much.
Parang that time lang a then sitting president kissed a certain ramdom woman on the lips very much in the view of the public. Harmless at nakaka-aliw to the cheering crowd, but certainly inappropriate and downright sickening.
