I agree with this Mark Twain quote. When you love what you're doing and when you're passionate about what you do, it won't feel like work anymore. You could get so absorbed in what it is that you do that chances are you'd easily lose track of time, and still not feel tired after.

I'm more of a night owl so I usually sleep late and wake up late. I love mornings, though, and I love the feeling of witnessing how the night breaks into a brand new day, seeing those first streaks of lights, and basking in its warmth, all the while hearing birds sing their morning songs as they go about their day. Unfortunately for me, I rarely get to experience all that since I'm usually still in deep slumber when all that magic happens.
If I could choose then, I'd rather get up early and start my day the moment the sun rises. As long as I have a good night's rest, of course.

I haven't really experienced getting negative comments online largely because I limit my posts to friends only, but I've gotten negative responses at times when I comment on public posts and share my stands and opinions on certain matters. My natural reaction would be to respond to them especially when I know I'm the one in the right. However, I've also realized that there's really no point in arguing with close-minded people.
The best way to respond to getting negative comments and feedback then is to just try and ignore them as much as possible. You don't have to waste time and energy just trying to prove something to people especially when they won't listen to reason, anyway.

I think flirting with friends for fun is harmless and is okay as long as it stays that way, just some harmless and fun bunter. Now, if it leads to something more serious that may eventually affect your friendship, then it's not going to be good.
