I remember this good friend of mine. One time we were looking at our college yearbook. He would point at some girl's picture and unabashedly say that this one girl happened to like him. And you know what, he did this to quite a number of other girls' pictures as well. While I already knew he always thought of himself highly, still it surprised me that he was actually that conceited. 🤮

Nice that you got to meet them. Yung ganun mas possible nga mangyari, though, ako, I don't recall ever meeting my lolo and lola's siblings. As for meeting our great grandparents medyo bihira na talaga yun. If ever man, usually kung baby pa siguro tayo kaya 'di na rin natin maaalala if ever.

Yes, the kids decide what kind of parents you are. Parents can only do their best out of love for their children, and that may not even be enough. Most kids these days are perfectionists, and their parents' faults are highlighted more than their efforts and intentions. They are a privileged lot and have highly unreasonable expectations, and their parents can only do so much.

Pets have a way of helping ease our sadness and reduce our stress. To some, they may merely be animals, but they actually provide us with comfort and warmth that we don't always get from people. Malas mo. Ako naman 'di ako nahuli nung ginawa ko mga yun. Unfortunately nga lang, one time during an exam, napagalitan din ako ng prof namin kasi akala niya I was cheating. May tinanong lang ako nun sa seatmate ko tapos nakita niya ako at agad tinawag name ko. Unfair pero buti na explain ko rin I wasn't asking anything about our test.

One was when I deliberately didn't attend our senior retreat. Our class was one of the first to be scheduled while theirs was the last scheduled one. Being some sort of compulsory requirement for us, I was "forced" to join their retreat, quite gladly so, may I add.
Then there was this time when my friends told me that this same girl was taking up summer classes. I immediately convinced my parents that I should enroll for the summer, even lying that I took up the maximum 9 units of classes when I was only able to enroll in one subject totalling just 3 units. I didn't even need to enroll that term since I wasn't behind in my studies, but here I was costing my parents some unnecessary expenses just so I could see this girl and admire her from afar. 😸
