Any idea why making decisions while emotional is not good?

shadheliana’s Profile PhotoSadeel
When we are emotional, we cannot think rationally. Whatever decisions we make then are largely swayed by our feelings that very moment, feelings that are most likely to change anytime. There's a good chance then that we'll come to regret those actions and decisions once we get a better hold of ourselves and are able to think clearly.

Tanging Diyos lamang makakasabi.

maintindihan ko na madami introvert pero allergic ako sa mga taong mahirap kausap at umiiwas pag tinatanong. kung matibay sikmura nyo dun wag niyo ko pilitin, kasi i have standards on meeting people

Mas okay na rin you are true to yourself.

FB friends ko sila, though, so I get to say hi to them from time to time

panoorin mo movies ni tiya pusit after para mawala stress mo

Ah bakit kay tiya Pusit in particular? Usually, when I want to laugh and smile, I rewatch "Friends."

Ano ang ibig-sabihin ng crab-mentality?

Yung naghihilaan kayo pababa kasi ayaw ninyo maging successful yung kapwa tao ninyo.

pagod na po kaming mga frontliners. Overwork tapos underpaid pa. Give us the right compensation for the amount of work we’re doing especially this pandemic.

StephanieMaeJavier’s Profile Photosmaj
Kayong mga frontliners, you truly deserve our gratitude and appreciation for all your efforts and sacrifices during this pandemic. More than that, though, you deserve the proper compensation that's rightfully yours, kaya sana this government will step it up naman.

If your life is a movie, what's the genre/category? 🎬

Real life is too complex to put under one genre. If I had to classify my life then, it would be more of drama and adventure, spiced by bits of romance and comedy, and maybe even mystery. 😼

Sure win then.

And how lucky and blessed we are if we have people like that in our lives.

How do you give-back / pay-it-forward?

AthenusVena’s Profile Photoav
Come to think of it, I don't really make a conscious effort to pay it forward. By simply showing kindness and being naturally good to others, I guess I'm already giving back for the goodness other people have accorded me.

if you didnt get enough sleep, this is only to remind you to consider getting one. you dont have to respond to this. im not usually like this but i wish you a good day. here, flower haha 🥦

You can be anti-martial law and also be against mendiola and hacienda Luisita massacre. Why is the massacre being used as rebuttal against martial law?

True, just because you're anti-martial law doesn't mean you're not against what happened in hacienda Luisita. And using the events there doesn't invalidate our stand against the martial law era, nor does it change the fact that various atrocities and violation of human rights happed during that period.
I guess this is what they call the Strawman Fallacy. Instead of facing the problem head-on, they divert the issue by pointing to something else. Imbes harapin at sagutin yung issue, the president is bringing up alleged wrongdoings of those investigating in the senate instead.

Yeah, malaking chance manalo uli.

In times of trouble, what calms you down?

AthenusVena’s Profile Photoav
Praying calms me down. Now, I'm not exactly overly religious, but I do pray once in a while, and I truly find comfort in it especially when I'm troubled and lost. Either prayer has that natural effect or it helps knowing you can pour your heart and emotions out and you have God to listen to you, or both.

Would you consider yourself "privileged"? Why / Why not?

No, I don't consider myself privileged per se, but in life we all have privileges or advantages we may or may not be aware of. For example, I was able to attend and finish college with my parents' support. When you consider that not everyone had that chance, or that they had to find work to support their education, then I can say I was privileged enough that I didn't have to go through all that in order to finish my studies. However, having my parents' support didnt mean I got a free pass. I still had to actually study and earn my degree.
The bottom line is that like everyone else I have my struggles and hardships, and that if I ever want something, I know I have to earn it, so I don't feel privileged at all, far from it.
