Maybe because people have the tendency to take our goodness to them for granted, and when they're used to us treating them kindly, they expect us to always be like that, and so if we suddenly make a mistake and hurt them, that act gets amplified and earns utter condemnation. Kung baga, didibdibin nila yan kasi, in a way, that's like an act of betrayal on our part. And while they can always find it in their hearts to forgive us, they will never forget how we made them feel with that single act of ours.

I think it's more like we learn to accept things and be okay with them. And so we still get affected by them from time to time, and it still stings especially when we're suddenly reminded of what happened in the past. However, thanks to the help of time and our own growth and maturity, we are able to deal with it better this time, and we are able to shrug it off and go our way.

With the way people in this country think, with how they idolize politicians and personalities, with how they allow themselves to be fooled with social media propaganda, fake news, disinformation, and revisionist history, I'm tempted to say na wala. Saying so, however, means I would be discrediting those who genuinely stand and fight for the nation, and those who still hope and dream of a better Philippines. Kaya hanggang may naghahangad at nakikipaglaban para sa tunay na pagbabago, meron pa ring pag-asa.
