What was a place or event that transformed your ideas, thinking, perspective, or made you come alive in a new way? What changed?
One was when I was invited to join the Singles For Christ organization in Qatar some time back. While I did receive a few invitations to join the same organization in our local parish in the Philippines even way before that, it was only when I was in Doha that I got convinced to accept such an invitation, and eventually commit to the SFC community.
In any case, when I joined the group there, it gave me a far better understanding of my life and my constant struggles then, and it opened up a whole different perspective of looking at things.
Becoming part of the community also undeniably heped with my stay there. It certainly wasn't always easy to be in a different country and being far away from family and friends, I can tell you that, but me joining the SFC family gave me a sense of belongingness and actually made my stay there more fun and memorable.
