Like I've said a million times already, that only applies sa matitinong mga magulang. That means parents who are trying their best and making the needed sacrifices for their kids, and NOT the toxic, abusive, and irresponsible ones. The point there kasi is we will never truly know the things our parents — responsible parents — go through in coming up with tough decisions until we experience making the same decisions with our kids in the future.

I don't really recall any major scandals happening back when I was in college. Nothing earth-shaking, as far as I remember, at least. Just some girls getting pregnant, and this new Management professor getting the boot after just a semester for being a little too radical in his teaching approach.

All are imperfect, actually, humans as they are. And yeah, we don't repeat their mistakes naman, but we don't villainize them din, or put all the blame on them for how we turned out. Unless, they're abusive, toxic, and irresponsible parents.
