What are the things that you treasure?

One of the things I treasure the most is time because I learned the hard way that no matter how much we yearn for it, we can never truly have it back.
Then directly related to time, there are those ever precious memories, moments that seem merely fleeting yet linger with us our whole lifetime.
I also treasure the bond I have with my family. My relationship with them is far from perfect, of course, but with them, I'll always have a home to come home to.
The camaraderie and the brotherhood (and sisterhood) I have with my friends, that's something I hold dear in my heart as well. It's always an amazing feeling knowing you have kindred spirits to share your life's journey with. Iba ang may pinagsamahan, ika nga ng commercial ng San Miguel Beer.
In conclusion, it's truly the little things in life that matter. They're the ones that make us the happiest if only we know how to appreciate and value them.

Yeah, even in Cebu overwhelming win for Baby M. Talagang na poison na utak ng mga tao sa unprecedented online propaganda and attacks.
Overall, I was expecting Leni would at least put up a good challenge, so to see her lose by such a huge margin was kind of a surprise and truly disheartening.

Lesson learned: negative campaigning won't lead you to victory

Realization: Money, power, name recall, fake news, disinformation, and outright lies are key ingredients into winning elections in this country. People no matter how smart, no matter how accomplished, no matter how educated, and no matter how good can easily be duped. Landslide pa nga.
Deny all you want but sadly that seems to be the value of our vote these days. Nasa inyo na yan if payag kayo ganun lang halaga ng boto ninyo.

Thoughts about Election Results in PH?

I'm devastated with the results. Imagine this certain someone becoming the no. 1 senator when there's a lot more candidates deserving of our votes. I feel we've never progressed as a people, and we only have ourselves to blame for our country being stuck to where it is now.
Now I may not like the results, and I may never change the way I feel about it, but we are a democracy and the people have spoken. I will accept whatever the results are, and I'm going to have to live with it. I will, however, look at how these election winners perform, and very much hold them accountable for it.

To be honest, I'm still pretty disappointed not just by the presidential election results, but how people voted overall. Grabe, it seems we've never learned and we are regressing as a people. Whether Leni ka o BBM, you have to admit you'll scratch your head as to how people voted. Of course, if BBM ka, you'll deny that to death, and you'll say there's nothing wrong with making Robin the no. 1 senator.
In answer to your question, actually, in my dismay, nawalan na ako ng gana to even care who will win. I don't even have an idea sino nasa top 12 sa senatorial elections. Feeling ko useless lang maging concerned sa bayan when majority of people will only vote for who's popular and will only believe fake news and utter disinformation. I guess this is the downside of democracy. So many people don't know how to vote for the right people. No wonder ganito pa rin ang Pinas at nag pa-iwanan na tayo.
I know, though, I'm wrong to give up on my country just like that, so di pwedeng maging manhid ako at di rin pwedeng maging wala akong paki-alam. I might forever be in the minority, but I will fight for what I believe and I will fight for my country still.

Yeah, there's that regret lalo na dito na overwhelmingly pro-BBM at pro-Sara. And to see them celebrate even the victory of Robin Padilla and mock the likes of Chel Diokno not only makes that disappointment worse, but seemingly adds insult to injury.
In any case, I do find consolation in the fact that, in this DDS and Marcos Apologists-dominated region, there are still people I know who went against the flow, and voted for whom they think is right for our country.

In democratic societies such as ours it very much is a necessity. We follow not the voice of one but that of the many, so it is an important inherent right and a key part in the functioning of our country.
In other types of societies, however, it may not be much of a necessity as they are governed by a strongman rule or other types of authoritarian rule. It doesn't mean, though, that people there don't cry and long for their voices to be heard.
