Yes horses love clean fresh water, I don't understand people letting there horses water get green And slimy and put gold fish in it, fish poop, how would they like to drink that , or horse poop. Your horse is thanking you for that good clean water??

Lol I was just thinking about this today ? I've never really understood that either, people usually put fish in the water to prevent mosquito larvae but it would also make algae grow in the bucket ten times faster. Also I don't know why people just assume you can buy a goldfish and put it in a random bucket and they will just live, goldfish are actually one of the harder types of fish to care for and they require a very large tank to stay healthy, I feel bad for all the fish that live in water troughs because they probably don't live there for very long ?? it's much easier to just have multiple smaller buckets that you can dump out and clean regularly!

Can I put a paste dewormer in my horses grain? My horse is so difficult to deworm he will rear and last time I dewormed him he got loose in the yard, and I was wondering if it's ok to just put it in his grain to make it easier?

No that probably won't work, you should get help from a trainer and put a chain over his nose or something so you have more control

When will you move Rumour to your house and when will you buy another horse? Estamite time

Estimated time to move Rumour is 2 months. I'm really not sure when we will buy another horse because it sort of depends what is for sale and if we can find something we like.

I had a question about the Shedrow thermal therapy wraps. Do you put them on after a ride and take them off before you turn them out? Or do you turn them out with them on? Thanks!

I wouldn't turn them out with them on. They're more something to be warn in a stall. You also shouldn't leave them on for long periods of time when you first get them because your horse needs to become accustomed to the heat just like any other heat therapy product.

I am moving to Langely BC within a few months with my horse and don't know anyone that knows the area well .. could you tell me which areas to avoid living in and also recommend any boarding facilities with an indoor near the city? Thank you in advance

I don't actually know much about the neighbourhoods in Langley or the barns since I've never boarded in Langley before. We usually only go to Langley if we're going to Tbird, Greenhawk, Bates, or the Mini Cooper dealership ?. Since it's the "horse capital of BC" there are tons of hunter jumper barns, most with indoor arenas so there's lots to choose from.

Are u going to ride rumor at your house or at a barn or do both and are u guys still going to show. And are u you g to buy jumps is u are going to ride him at your house?

We are going to ride him at our house. We don't have any plans to show right now but that could always change. Yes we plan on buying some jumps.

Tips for a hard to turn horse? My 9 Y/o Quarab has a nice go and a nice wo. But our problem currently is Whenever I ask him to turn he braces his neck and sometimes tosses his head. I tried inside leg and not even that worked. I already had his teeth checked and they looked fine. Plz help?

Hmm it's sort of hard to give you advice without actually seeing what's happening. Try turning off your outside aides? Use your outside rein against the neck, push them around the turn with your outside leg and open the inside rein? Could also try a full cheek snaffle.

I just got asked to go to a homecoming dance with my best guy friend??. But there's a problem.. Idk how to ask/bring it up to my dad. I need major advice.

Dads don't need to be involved in that sort of thing ?

This might be a really stupid question but when you do A pasture board how do I tell people when I need to change the blankets. I am planning on going for a tour but do they use their judgment or do I call them/text them?

They will probably just use their own judgment, it always best to check on them yourself though, when we boarded Rumour they would hardly ever put blankets on or take them off even though it's included.

I know it's different for everyone but if you were to guess/estimate but height do you think most people are jumping by the age of 14, 16 and 18 I know it is a wide variety but if you had to guess. Please

2', 2'9, 3'+ if you're not very competitive and don't own your own horse, if you're into showing and have good horses to ride then higher than that.
