I would probably switch barns! It all just depends on how fast you want to advance in your riding, if you're okay with just continuing at the pace you're going at because you like your trainer and the horse you ride then there's nothing wrong with that, but if you want to get more serious about riding then you'll probably have to move eventually!

ok thanks. yeah i got hunched over which only made things worse and when i rolled my shoulder back it was a lot better but i couldn't hold that for long :/ so i switched between good position and terrible position. idk I'm kinda hoping she will put me back on the smooth horse though...is that bad?
Yeah that's great that you can tell the difference between when you're hunched and when you're not. As long as you start out with a good position you're set. It will just take time and practice to be able to hold it for longer periods of time. Lol I would want to switch to the smoother horse too!
i just rode a rly bouny horse today, rather than the usual smooth horse I ride. we canter without stirrups and i almost slid off a few times. do you have any advice or anything? ik i got tense and made things worse but it was rly scary and stuff. luckily my trainer soon let me have my stirrups back!
You really just have to stay up tall and keep your legs long and wrapped around the horse, and heels down which is hard to do when you're bouncing!! when you start sliding usually your first reaction is to kind of hunch over and try to hold on which makes it a lot worse! You could try holding on to some of the mane to help balance also.

I don't have any experience with actual websites but horse classified facebook groups are really great as you already know the horses will be in your area. Also if there is a horse council in your province like HCBC they usually have sale ads on their websites, that's where we found Rumour :)

It really pisses me off when older or more advance riders talk crap about beginners or people under their level, cause they were once a beginner as well. I feel like some people are kind of doing this or going to at this camp, and I don't know how to get over those thoughts.
Yeah that's pretty annoying, just don't let it get to you, obviously they are feeling self conscious about themselves if they feel the need to be rude to someone based on their experience level, there is nothing you can do to make yourself not a beginner except keep riding! They are really just making themselves look stupid in my opinion :)

Yeah buying a used helmet is always kind of iffy :P

I think they would be the same, the website could end up being more expensive if you have to pay for shipping though.

My head gets sweaty at the part where it touches your forehead but I feel like most helmets will do that. I don't find it overly hot in the summer though!
