Haha ?? not that there is anything wrong with that of course..? But in all seriousness tailored sportsmans would probably be considered cheap when it comes to higher end breeches now a days ?

I'm not saying $229 is expensive in relation to the cost of keeping a horse I am saying $229 is an extensive amount of money to be spending on 1 pair of breeches. I understand if it is a pair of show breeches but you guys don't do anything but school in an arena.

Maybe to you it's expensive but to me it's not. It doesn't matter if we show or not we think TS are the most comfortable and fit the best so we buy them. They also last forever. I've had one pair for 3 years and they still look brand new. I don't really know why I'm trying to justify this but I don't think many people wear blue breeches with tan knee patches to shows anyways so that's not really what they're even made for.

They were $179 and now I'm completely poor and have no money to feed my horse and he has to live under a bridge! (that was sarcasm.) (and irony because he already lives under a bridge.) ?

I already have all the important things I need. Why are you concerned with how we spend our money. We are 23 and both have jobs. If you think $229 is a lot of money I would hate for you to find out how much it actually costs to keep a horse!

Where you board, is it self board? Meaning that you clean your stalls, feed, and do turnout and all that jazz.

No, we clean our own stall for cheaper board but they do everything else like feeding and turn out and putting on fly masks and blankets and stuuff.

Props to you guys for being able to share Rumour so well! I would struggle so much sharing a horse with someone else. I don't know how you do it. Also, love re B Vertigo's ?

Thanks ? it's really not as hard as it seems, especially because we went from taking lessons once a week to owning so we get to ride a lot more than we used to even with sharing ?

Thoughts on ogilvy saddle pads? What's better, memory foam or the gummy one? :)

Love them all ? gummy for a custom fitting saddle, memory foam for everything else.

Since horses aren't cheap, I was wondering what do you guys skimp on to save money? (obviously don't answer if you don't wish!!!)

We clean our own stall to save on board, and we get Rumour's shoes done with the other boarders as a group to save on the call out fee, that's basically it we usually pay full price for everything ??

The only horse themed books I've ever read are the heartland ones when I was 12 ?

I'm not sure what his name was but yes by the things he was saying he seemed to be a chiropractor or massage therapist of some kind.

lol! I got a q. One of my horses HATES to be caught. He runs away from u even if u don't have a halter. He turns his butt towards u as if he will buck you. Any advice?

Bring a bucket with grain in it, and get the lead rope over his neck really fast, once you manage to catch him you should work on some ground work to gain his respect cause that is bad pony behaviour!
