15 is kinda young for joint fusion, 15 isn't even that old for a normal horse lol
Yeah I know. ☹️ Unfortunately that's what happens when you ride a horse hard for most of their life. I think he was ridden 6-7 days a week at his old barn and was leased by lots of different girls who all jumped him.

Yeah he has quite advanced arthritis to the point that the joints are fused so he doesn't have any pain from it ? and he doesn't pass a flexion test, that's why he's not the greatest mover ?

Do you think Western and English are equally difficult? Why or why not?
I think initially English is harder because it's harder to get your balance in an English saddle, but other than that I think they are pretty equal in difficulty if you are riding properly ?

My horse sometimes get nervous at fences. Now even high ones, sometimes only 1'9 - 2'0. She will refuse at least once every time I jump her. (Usually once a week) she's 11, not green but she just gets nervous for no reason and refuses. What could I do to try and help/fix the problem? Please help me!
I would definitely get a trainer to help so they can really figure out what's causing it. But Courtney used to ride a horse that would stop at a cross rail if you didn't set her up properly, even though she was very athletic and could probably jump from any distance. If that's the case just really focus on getting a good quality canter before you jump and squaring your turns might help? If the approach to the jump is perfect and she still stops she might be in pain?

I'm not asking because I think the person with more buttons would win, I was asking because I didn't know if the 4 button was just for jumpers and the 3 button just for hunters
3 buttons is traditional for hunters, in jumpers you can wear whatever you want
Is it ok to have a show coat with 4 buttons for the hunters?
If it's a lower level show it should be fine, I think in most cases one person won't win over another just because their jacket has one less button ?

I don't think you should judge someone based on the fact they do drugs or drink alcohol. It's a personal choice. If you're truly a religious person you would leave the judging up to "God."
