Opinion on what @mishaligut said about buying your way to the top in riding
I don't know who that is, but you do need money to get to the top to a certain extent, obviously you need to be a good rider, but being a good rider alone won't get you to the Grand Prix ring or Olympics etc. you need lots of money and the right opportunities.
I have uni from 8.15 till 15.00 tomorrow. Somebody please kill me now so that I have a legit excuse not to go. How come going to class all day was so easy in high school but so freaking exhausting (so much that I have a hard time keeping my eyes open; not falling asleep out of boredom) in uni???
I would almost fall asleep in class all the time, and there were many days when I would just leave at lunch cause it was so boring. The only thing I can suggest is to bring lots of snacks, and perhaps a laptop so you can do some online shopping ?
Yes! If I were to specialize in one area that would probably be it, but you need maternity or pediatric experience and both of those areas are kind of hard to get a job in when you're new! If you work in medical or surgical you are basically guaranteed a job so that's what we did -C
I just watched your video on your other channel and subscribed and I just realized I'm your first subscriber! I also commented so ya! loves it and keep doing what your doing! first time this ever happened
I think that anon is referencing the horse, Cambridge, who died in the arena after (for a lack of a better description) falling wrong. That was in late May at Devon and Emma Kurtz was riding him.
Yes, I do remember hearing about the poor horse that died. I didn't think it was the rider.
I feel like you should try at least one of them first before stating your opinion on all of this.
Huh? That's like saying you don't know if scuba diving with a shark is dangerous until you try it. Any rational thinking person can deduce that cross country has more risk of serious injury than hunters, and although we haven't shown in hunters that is what we are training for so we have some idea of how dangerous it is and what we are in for.
People can die riding no matter what the discipline is! I agree that eventing is more dangerous bc the fences won't break, but every time we get in the saddle we all risk our lives no matter what we're doing-whether it be a trail ride, or a prelim cross country course. just gotta live to the fullest
Yes I agree! I was just answering the question with my own opinion about why I don't want to event because I think it's too risky. But yes riding horses at all always comes with some degree of risk.
But they're usually half the size and will move if your horse hits them. Unlike jumps on cross country courses that are big enough to cause a horse to have a rotational fall over. It honestly doesn't bother me if you think hunters are dangerous I'm just saying it's less risky than eventing!
