OK so I'm thinking about getting a horse with in the next couple of months. Should I just go ahead and buy the 5 point Breast plate? Or should I wait until I have the horse or how do I know if I should get one once I have the horse?

I wouldn't get one until you know what size your horse is. If your saddle slides back then a breastplate is useful, but you can really use one just because you want to ?

How is the barn coming along? Have you got the Christmas decorations in your house up yet? ;)

Still basically a hole in the ground, the guy that's building it is getting carried away with flattening the rest of the paddock area so we can plant grass and then he's doing a bunch on drainage stuff so it doesn't get muddy, now he wants to actually run water to the barn which is totally not necessary lol probably won't be done until after Christmas at this rate ? we have some decorations up it's a work in progress lol won't get a tree until next weekend probably

Omg ralighlink14 is so annoying. After she rode one of her horses she gave him a huge pat on the neck like a victory slap or something. Its just like why cant people rub their horses instead of patting them because you dont see one horse give another horse a pat you seem them rub eachother.

Lol I'm sure that not the worst thing she's ever done ? but I agree I don't enjoy watching people slap their horses either

Is it ok to ride in like workout tights I have half chaps and them obviously my riding boots.

Yeah wear whatever you want ?

Op on people who only jump their horses? (Not like the horse jump every day but that someone else does the flat/ground work)

Don't know anyone that does that

Can you write out your riding schedule (like when you would have a lesson, when you would ride, his days off, etc) for when you were at your old barn?

Monday - Breanne's jumping lesson 1 hour
Tuesday - Day off
Wednesday - Flat ride 30-40 mins
Thursday - Courtney's jumping lesson 1 hour
Friday - day off
Saturday and Sunday would be different all the time but usually just flatting or not riding at all ??

Tips for getting your horse faster. I'm just kind of nervous for my rounds that I'll be to slow to win or place even though he never stops or knocks rails

You just have to think about going faster the whole time and keep your leg on lol even if it feels like you're going fast you probably need to go faster ?

What is the average fill for a light turnout and a medium turnout and a heavy turnout? Because I'm using the Horseware app for blanketing and that's all that it says so is there an average fill?

Light weight is usually around 100g and medium weight is around 250g I think

Is the smartpak blanketing app accurate? Also do you know is it for a horse that is outside all the time? Or for a horse that is clipped?

I've never used that one. I would try the Horseware app because it factors in all those things. But you should probably just ask a knowledgable horse person in your area if your not sure. Also people have different opinions on blanketing so a lot of the time it's just personal preference. As long as your horse isn't shivering or sweating under their blanket they're probably fine.

I'm so confused on how to know what blankets/sheets to but for my horse. How do I even know which ones to buy and which ones I need. And how do I know how much fill I need in each of them? This is all so confusing and I really need help.

You should probably just ask your trainer if you're not sure.
