We were looking for a horse to free lease since we both graduated from university and had some money to spend on board ? but couldn't find anything, we were planning to buy a horse soon anyways and then we saw his ad and he was everything we were looking for at a price we could afford so we bought him! We bought him this year and we are 23
The foal is by Banderas out of a German imported mare. So I'm thinking that it might be more than $1000. But thanks for your input I'm just trying to get a mental price range ?
Oh nice! I feel like the most it could be is $4-5000 but I really don't have much experience with baby horses ?
Do you think it's realistic to own a horse or lease a horse in college? (same student)
If you have time to have a job during college then yes, it's probably better to lease because you might not have time to get to the barn as often as you want
What's your advice to a highschool student who can't purchases a horse until after high school
Take weekly lessons if you can, it's a great opportunity to ride a lot of different horses to increase your experience and become a better rider, you don't really get that same type of learning when you own and only ride one horse.
opinion on @mishaligut i think shes the most rude person on ask and everyone should block her.
I honestly didn't know who she was until someone asked us about her today and she just seems very angry and like she is seeking attention, I'm just glad I'm not her because she must have some deeper issues going on with the type of stuff she posts ?
People who comment telling you you're doing something wrong and have no knowledge of what they're talking about, and people who comment to promote their channel ?
Pasture your horse 24/7
Stall your horse 24/7
Pasture in the day stall by night.
Pasture 24/7 is the most natural for a horse, a stall at night is okay too, but a horse should always have some type of turnout daily, weather permitting
Hopefully on Wednesday! It has been real annoying lately because we have been working opposite days so we haven't had a day off together to film in a while! ?
I need help whenever I land a jump and slow my horse down (or slow him down while we are doing flat work) he always goes behind the vertical? I don't pull on his face I just give a slight tug (he is trained mostly off of weight movement) how do I keep him from doing this? Thanks ☺️
I don't really know. What kind of bit do you use? I would probably just ask your trainer because I have no experience with that problem.
How many questions should I answer in a q and a video?
Probably around 10-15
Essentials to know before buying or leasing a horse?
How to feed a horse, how to ride a horse, how to care for a horse in general. I don't know you should know stuff but you don't need to know everything if you have the help of a trainer or someone who is an experienced horse owner. If you have professional help you can kind of learn things as you go.
i'm so upset right now because i might have to move from my current barn and i love the people & the horses there so much and don't want to move. what can i do to take my mind off of it?
I don't know, you could always still visit? Try to get excited about all the new awesome barns that are still out there!?
What's it honestly feel like riding in jin stirrups vs regular ones? Always wanted to know but don't wanna spend hundreds to find out lol
I feel like they don't feel much different in general but they are just so grippy i never have to readjust my stirrups like I used to in regular ones. Your foot just sticks in the same position the entire ride even if you get left behind over a jump or something! The foot tread is also like twice as wide as a regular stirrup so your foot feels extra secure!
