The thing is, he made me a letter saying I'm the best friend he has ever had, and constantly texts me, I just want it to stop! He is in my class for the next 2 years so I can't be rude!

Oh dear that's an awkward situation, I would just try to slowly distance yourself, I have no other good advice ?

Is it normal to struggle more on a smaller fence equitation wise, since your so used to jumping higher

Yeah I find the smaller fences really hard because you don't even really need to do a two point so I end up just standing up in my stirrups and it's bad!

I tend to lean on the horse's neck a lot when I jump. Any tips for balancing better and not doing that?

Practice your two point on the flat, sinking all your weight into your heels. Then take your hands off your horses neck so you have absolutely no weight in your hand so you can start working on your balance instead of leaning on their neck. You may only be able to do it for a couple strides at a time at first but it should get easier!

I had to run her into a fence. My trainer was with me before and she isn't going to be here this time and I'm worried she will trot away again. What should I do? I need to keep her calm and just walking. It says the wind is 13km/h right now. Will that be loud? I think that's why she tried trotting.

13km winds aren't very loud or "windy" so i think you'll be fine there. Sounds more like your horse is just barn sour and doesn't want to leave the barn for too long. If you're uncomfortable going out without your trainer I wouldn't go. You should probably go out with your trainer a couple more times so you can actually fix the problem, or see if she does it again before you go out on your own. Unless the other people you will be riding with are more experienced they may be able to help??

I have plans to go on a hack today after I ride with 4 or 5 other people and their horses. Last time I went on a hack it was pretty windy (ontarios spring transitions?) and my horse tried to turn around and trot back to the barn. It was hard to stop her (she's in a d-ring French link) so.. CONT

I've been with my trainer for about four weeks now (once a week lessons, just moved barns) I was wondering how long I should wait to ask if there is any opportunities that I could come out and flat some horses outside of a lesson. Thoughts/Tips?

I think 4 weeks is probably enough time for your trainer to know how experienced you are. I would just ask!

My horse always adds little steps before the jump. I always lean forward too soon then. Tips?

Try not to jump ahead of them, sit up and put your leg on, you also might not have enough pace/ a strong enough canter coming to the jump

video suggestions: you could do the smartpak tag, spring/summer riding essentials, equestrian products not worth buying, a q&a, equestrian favorites. those are all the ones I could think of! you two are my favorite equestrian youtubers ?

Those are all great suggestions! Thank you so much!! ??

What half pad do you guys prefer the Ogilvy or ecogold do you plan on selling the one you least prefer or keep it for the future ?

I'm not really sure yet because they are two totally different pads and are better for different situations. I would probably keep both for now but may sell one in the future. I really want a thinline sheepskin pad so we will see.

Do u think you will ever get another horse so that you can both ride at the same time?

Once we get our own property then we will for sure. But board is too expensive for us to have two horses anytime soon.
