What would you say normal shoes on all 4 cost routinely?

Rumour's cost $178 for 4 shoes but I think you can get it done for cheaper

What do you use for leather care for your tall boots?

Same stuff we use on our saddle. Dish soap and water and Effax leather conditioner.

Do you wear makeup regularly?

I used to wear makeup almost everyday but now that all we do on our days off is go to the barn pretty much I don't wear it that often anymore. When I do it's usually just foundation, bronzer, eye brows, and mascara!

I've only been to smaller shows and my friend told me that at bigger several day shows people are always drinking and doing drugs and stuff.. Is this true?

Not at the horse shows I've been to ?

If that persons horse does not pick up canter as soon as they give the cue they can give him a tap behind the leg. Leg, voice, tap, is what I've been taught. I wouldn't use spurs unless the horse is super lazy.

Why do equestrians pay hundreds of dollars to show for some cheap ribbons? It makes no sense, you can spend it on something more worth while:/

Yess I agree. Showing can often be a really fun experience though so it can be worth it in some ways. I just wouldn't be showing every weekend or anything like that.

what is a martingale used for

Pretty much keeps the horse from raising its head too high so it can't evade the bit.

If my horse does not pick up the canter as soon as a give my cue, should a get Spurs so he feels it more when I put my outside leg on ?

Yeah you could try it

Tips for horses that are hard to get to canter ?

Try picking it up on a circle. Use a crop. Maybe try doing a walk to canter transition? That way they can't get out of it by just trotting faster and faster?
