She's not in pain, I know that. We even got the vet out. I was thinking that she was in pain as well but the vet said nothing was wrong. Her old owners literally just said "kick or smack her with a crop and tell her who's boss." I don't know what to do?
Probably get a new trainer, I can't really help you there are endless reasons why a horse would refuse a jump, although a horse that is athletic enough to jump 1.20 but won't even jump 1 foot literally makes no sense in my brain

She has done 1.20m and showed before with her previous owner. Her previous owner said that to make her jump you only need to kick/smack her and tell her who's boss but honestly, it's not doing much.
If she can jump 1.20 then she must be in pain or something, that just doesn't make sense
And it doesn't do much then I'll have to do option 2, sell her. Im scared because if I wait a year or two and it doesn't do much so I'll have to sell her, I'll be so attached to her and idk if I'll be able to let her go. Should I wait and see or sell her now? My trainer says she CAN find me a horse.
If your whole plan was to buy a horse that could jump why would you buy a horse that takes so much effort to get over a jump that's less than a foot tall? To me it seems like she obviously does not enjoy jumping, sure there might be a chance that she can work out of it but she's obviously not showing a natural talent as a jumper either. I don't like selling animals but you probably shouldn't have bought her in the first place, or change your goals to something that doesn't involve jumping

We are registered nurses, a registered nurse can be any kind of nurse, Breanne works on a surgical unit and I work on a medical unit, so we mainly deal with older people, but if I decided I wanted to be a maternity or pediatric nurse tomorrow I could do that lol

I'd say I pretty much never feel depressed, when I'm feeling bad for myself I just think of all the people that have it so much worse than me. My life is nothing to be depressed about.

As a nurse, what do you usually do?
So many things! I always have a really hard time answering this question because it's hard to explain and usually different everyday. You basically assess patients (vitals etc.), check lab work, call doctors, give meds, clean wounds, take out staples/stitches, start IVs, tons of charting, give blood, put tubes in any opening of the body you can think of ?, deal with stupid family members, yesterday one of my patients died and I had to call and tell the family, it was a pretty great day to say the least ?

Admit it, everyone has a moment of jealousy regarding other people's horses, or tack or eq ... By why would you? Can't you just be happy with what you have? And be happy for other people?
I actually don't think I've ever been truly jealous of anyone's horse or tack. I may see things that other people have that I like but I don't feel jealous about it. ?
