What riding experience level would you say your riding is! Also what riding level or what riding skills whould you have to ride by yourself without a trainer?

I'm not really sure what I would label myself as because everyone has a different definition for the levels but I would say maybe novice?? You could ride on your own even if your a beginner it really just depends which horse your riding. If they are going to test you or be naughty you might want a trainer there to help. But if they're just going to plod around the arena at a leisurely pace a beginner should be able to handle it. It's probably different at every barn to.

Do u think 17.2 hands is really big

Yes. The tallest horse at our barn is 17.2hh. You don't see many horses that are 18hh and taller so yeah I'd say 17.2 is pretty tall.

I want to adopt a thoroughbred rescue but my trainer says I should buy a horse that is 5,000+, I really like this horse though? Sorry if this is confusing...

If your trainer doesn't think you're ready for a rescue horse I would probably listen to them! They probably know you're ability the best.

2-3 songs that would be fun to edit to? Please actually answer! :)))

No idea. I don't watch edits.

Do you guys really not get tired of living, working, and riding together? And doing/ sharing everything with each other?! ? if not, props to you! I could never be with my siblings all the time haha

Haha nope, we're like one person we like everything the same it's weird, we are both bothered by the same things so it's easy to not bother each other haha ??

What is a cribbing collar? And what does it make the horse do?

Cribbing is when a horse grabs on to their stall door or fence or any piece of wood really with their teeth and suck air in, it makes a loud annoying sound haha, it's a bad stable vice but can also be bad for their health because it can cause digestive problems, it's pretty common among thoroughbreds. The collar just prevents them from being able to get their head in that right position to suck the air in!

A horse at my barn has this metal thing that fits exactly around its neck. It doesn't look painful but I'm just wondering what it's for?

Sounds like a cribbing collar!

Wow ur twenty three but u look so good , so young i like dat(creepy accent )

Haha I like to think 23 is still young ??

No color is to childish for Eventing! ALOT of riders have pink! ?

Yeah I've seen a lot of older event riders even wear hot pink so I think it's fine!

So thinking about buying this horse as my next event prospect. He's 15.2hh TB never raced but was prepped, I quite like him he gets super strong when jumping and has legit no brakes at the canter atm but my trainer said he'd be worth looking into. Only thing is he's 11 and hasn't done anything wwyd?

Yeah I would go for it. 11 isn't that old and if they never actually raced and having really done any serious jumping or anything yet they should stay sound for a pretty long time. A lot of horses that are in good physical condition can be shown until their 18 or 19 so I think it's worth a shot!

I made a channel, and when I go to add my profile pic etc, it routes to to google+ (gross) and since my internet is weird it loads google+ really slow and I am highkey rlly pissed

Reid
Yeah you have to change your profile picture on google plus to change your YouTube profile picture it's very strange and annoying.

Can you do a lunge with me vid? Can you Show you tacking up as well?

We already have a tack up with us video, but we can do a lunging one!

What are good quality bridles? (Besides dyon)

Cwd, Antares makes really nice ones, HDR, Mondega from greenhawk are really nice show quality bridles that are only like $200 so pretty affordable compared to the other brands.

gurl help me with channel names

Reid
Oh man I'm really bad at thinking of names. . . ReidRidesHorses or Reid&DaVinci or something like that? I like when people use their actual name! Or their horse's name!

what do you normally do to warm Rumour up? I mean a warm-up when you're riding him!

Usually walk a lap in each direction then trot for 5-10 minutes and do lots of circles and changing direction and leg yielding, it kind of changes depending on what we need to work on though :)

what are some tips to keeping a balanced position over jumps? like in 2-point or whatever :)

Keep your heels down, shoulders back, try reaching your butt to the back of the saddle so you don't jump ahead of your horse, give a release but don't throw your hands way up your horses neck.

Have you guys every showed before? If so, what kind/level or whatever?

No we haven't but we will probably show in 2'6 hunters and jumpers!

well plus I don't have a nice camera I have a shitty camcorder oops

Reid
It doesn't matter use your phone camera if you have to! ?
