I was a total wreck my first show! I got 2 second to last and a 4th the first day and then the next day I just decided to relax, smile, and have fun and got champion! The experience is going to help you progress so much as a rider and you never knew how Rumour handled in the show ring before today!❤
Yeah he hadn't been to a show in over a year too ? he's so funny because he's a lot harder to ride than usual in some ways, but his lead changes are so much easier like he just gets them over the jump without me even asking he's so weird ??

You could get a rein connector. That's what I use on one of the horses that I ride because I don't know how to ride with two reins?.
I'll have to see what my trainer has for me to use because I don't have a second set of reins or a connector ?
are all your rounds right after each other ? maybe you could try it for the warmup and the first round and see if it helps !
It was me and another girl alternating, I'm not sure if it will be the same tomorrow though, I'll definitely try some jumps in the warmup and see how it goes and then decide!

I'm not trying to tell you how to ride your horse or anything but if you have another set of reins honestly I would ride with reins on both the snaffle and curb ring, you can just leave some give in your curb ring then if you need to pull his head up you have that control☺ just a suggestion☺
Yeah my trainer didn't think I needed the curb rein but after today she said I should use it ?

Yup her horse is so beautiful, I think she was 6th in one round and didn't place in the other

Aww Courtney! You arn't bad at riding him! It was your first show and I was a total mess? I didn't place in any of my classes, but at my next show I got a reserve champion! It's all about experience and practice!? BRING ON THE REDS!

Apparently I didn't actually get 11th place, only the top 6 are placed and then everyone else is listed in random order, but I probably did get close to last place anyways ? but thank you! ❤️

Sit up and actually do the onstride through the lines ? and she suggested adding the curb rein to the Pelham I'm using but I don't know if I want to ?
