How and where did you learn about horse owning and when did you feel like you were ready to own a horse?

Well I feel like we've known about horse care forever, we just read a lot about horse care, go to lots of clinics, and we took a horse nutrition and health course in university as an elective ?, of course our trainer still helps us with a lot of stuff though! I feel like if you find a horse that is suited to your riding ability and have a knowledgable trainer to help you then almost anyone can own a horse!

So there's this horse and she's in a really bad position and I have the option to take her out of that and into my barn where she'll be trained, I haven't been riding that long and my barn in 45 minutes away, I don't have a car and have to rely on others. I'm worried about if I'm doing the right thi

Yeah that's a hard situation. I mean, if you have a job and can financially support the horse and will be having help from a trainer it could work out. If you live far from the barn and can't get there all the time you could have your trainer work with the horse a couple times a week but that will add on to the expense. It's really easy to get wrapped up in wanting to help a horse because you feel bad for it but if you haven't been riding that long, a horse that has been neglected may not be the best first horse.

What is it like to jump??

It feels different on every horse! Some horses pretty much just pick up their legs over a jump so it feels like just another canter stride. Others will really use their whole body over a jump so there is more air time aha. It's really hard to explain what it's like, you just have to try it! ☺️?

Is it weird filming your lessons and doing vlogs at the barn if you only take lessons?? I just feel like it would be really embarrassing if my coach or anyone else from the barn found it!

I don't think it's weird to film your lessons especially if your mom or someone is filming you. Our trainer likes when we film ourselves because then you can actually see what you look like. Vlogging is a little more awkward but you can be kind of sneaky about it lol or just learn to not care what other people think! ??

Hi, I saw you did this earlier, but I need some help as well ? http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-1010018 Can you tell me your likes/dislikes about this horse I am considering leasing? Thanks?

It really depends what you plan on doing with the horse but she looks like a fun and safe horse to do a little bit of everything on. She's obviously not a super fancy show prospect or anything but she would probably be fun to ride especially if you want to trail ride and ride for fun! She is also very pretty.?☺️ It says she requires an experienced rider though and there is no age posted so those are things to look into. But for a lease that you can move to any barn I would send them a message and find out more about her!

I want to make a horsey YouTube video but I only lesson. I haven't made a channel yet. I can't do like saddle pad collections and whatnot so can you give me some ideas thanks !

You could do tags, hauls, videos of your lessons, grooming your horse before you ride, riding outfits, lots of things! We only took lessons the whole time we have had our channel until we got Rumour in March ?

Any tips on dealing with an insecure dog? Lately my dog has gone from being dominant to fearful (before you could put her in a park with others and all she wanted to do was play) and because of that has been getting into fights with other dogs :/

Our dog is the most badly behaved animal in the universe, I really don't understand how to train a dog properly, they are so different than horses ? it's important that they are socialized well at a young age or you're screwed pretty much I think ?

How did you prepare for getting a horse?

Have a trainer that will help you with everything, and save as much money as possible ?

Has Rumour begun to like the Jolly ball more than the cone or no? :)

No he definitely still likes the cone better, he will play with the jolly ball occasionally but he usually throws it into his neighbours stall ?
