I'm the person that got bucked off... The thing with this horse is that he hasn't bucked since he was broke and he bucked multiple times, like he was trying to get me off him, it was sort of out of character for him. I'm just afraid that'll I'll do something wrong and he'll throw me off again.
Oh I wouldn't worry to much about it, that's just a part of riding there's a chance you will fall off every time you get on ?
So at my last lesson, a month ago (its been cold and snowing I haven't been able to have a lesson since), I got bucked off my favorite horse while learning how to canter, which resulted in a badly bruised tailbone. I'm afraid that when I have my next lesson I'll be too scared to canter. Any advice?
Well now that you know there's a chance that the horse will buck when it canters you are more prepared to deal with it! When you're cantering just keep thinking about sitting up, and playing with the outside rein to keep the horses attention
Is your girth hard to keep clean? How do you clean it? Is it good for everyday work and shows?
Nope, the part that touches the horse is actually attached with Velcro so you can take it right off and wash it! I use it for schooling and shows I really like it!
I am in highschool and considering becoming a nurse. I am an equestrian. What kind of lifestyle ( including horse stuff), can u guys afford on a nurses salary??
I guess a pretty average lifestyle but with more days off ? like you'll be able to afford to buy a house and a car etc, save money and buy a horse or two. It's a pretty self sufficient career I guess ?
