It is a thing. That's the discipline. There are multiple events but that's the name of it. Lol people say when they do both of them too

Hunter/jumper is not a discipline, if you do both then saying you do Hunter/jumper is just using poor grammar for saying you do hunters and jumpers

What height does jumpers usually start at?

I don't know probably cross rails if you are at a schooling show or something ?

Do you guys have a lot of friends or hang out with other people or pretty much just each other.

We have other friends but we have the same friends so usually if we are hanging out with someone we are still together ?

What is the difference between hunters and hunter/jumpers and what are they?

It's just hunters or jumpers. There's no such thing as hunter/jumper, I'm not sure why people say that's what they do and I just realized that's a pet peeve of mine. Hunters is not timed and is judged on how well the horse goes around the course, if they keep a steady pace and get good distances to the jumps ect. Jumpers is judged on speed and whether or not you knock any rails down.

I'm just starting to ride English I rode western for about 1 and a half years and I wanted to know what the difference between paddock boots and half chaps and tall boots are and which would you recommend

If you're just taking lessons I would just get paddock boots and half chaps for the sole reason that they are cheaper than tall boots and can be more comfortable for everyday use

From greenhawk the elation pull on breeches are nice! If you're in the US than I recommend smartpak piper breeches, you should be the same size in breeches that you are in jeans

I don't really have one! But probably Lauren from YouTube because she's an amazing horse woman! She really understands horses and both of her mares are super cool!
