Your question is interesting and I have no idea why I not answering it earlier. So yeah, Chungking Express is the fourth Wong Kar-Wai's movie that I watch. At first I think its gonna be a unusual love story between the hopeless romantic cop (super cute Takeshi Kaneshiro) and the drug lady (Brigitte Lin) but then I'm kinda surprised with the fact this movie basically contain two different stories which intertwined but have a different mood. While the first part is kinda dark with drugs and guns, the second part is surprisingly lighthearted and... lovey dovey. I must admit I love the second part more than the first one. I love everything about it. Apart from Tony Leung which looks so hot in cop uniform and the vibrant little firecracker called Faye (Faye Wong), I love the soundtracks (The Mamas & The Papas' California Dreamin), the whole Hong Kong scene in the busy day, and the ending which not overly sweet.
My favorite scene is when Faye sneaking to the cop's apartment and basically being an adorable house elf while Faye Wong's rendition of The Cranberries' Dreams are playing in the background.
