Biyan
Biyan is one of the best Indonesian designers for me, if not even the best. His designs are luxurious, elegant, divine, and sophisticated while still retaining the traditional culture. To be able to walk for his annual show is one of the highest achievement for any Indonesian models.

Let's start with red.

Red is the color when you feel angry, brave, or passionate about something. Red is the feeling when you hear the flamenco dancers tapping their heels and shouting their love. Red is also burning sensation when your skin is kinda too close with fire or when you feel your own blood dripping from the edge of the knife. When your hand is getting too close to fire, you feel the red, but when you pull it to the right distance where you still can feel the warmth without sweating on your palms, that what I called as orange. Its comfortable, warm, and will reminds you of summer days. Its the vibrant smell of Mandarin orange and sunset. Red is the eldest, orange is the middle child, while the youngest is yellow. Yellow is the joyous laugh of the children in the park, the sweet radiance that will makes you wanna smile too. When they're old enough, they're turn into brown, the color of the earth, falling leaves on the Autumn, and the crisp sensation of crumpled paper.

Blue is the color when you feel slightly sad, serene, and peaceful. Its the feeling when you standing under the rain or hold your breath underwater. Blue is the color of water, very fluid and unpredictable... sometimes it could be very cold like freezing snow in the winter, sometimes it also warm like tropical beaches. Blue is the sensation when you hear Bjork's song, "Joga".

Green is the color of the mountain, the leaves, and the Spring. Lie down on the wet grass after the rain and you will smell the color. Green is what you feels when you feel calm and relaxed. Green has so many different shades and exotic names like chartreuse, pistachio, and harlequin.

I want to tell you about black and white, about how black supposedly the color of misery, gloom, and perpetual darkness and how white is the counterpart of it... the virginal white of self-righteousness and blinding truth.... but sometimes, its easier to imagine the world as the perfect blend of black and white.... we call it grey. Grey is the equilibrium of everything you feel. Sometimes you could describe it as Sunday, where the streets are kinda silent and grey. Or the color of cats, even though cats are born in varying colors and hues, but when you close your eyes and touch their furs, you can feel somehow all cats are grey. Its timeless and still.
