As a JKT48 obsessive, what's the general consensus among the fandom regarding the English versions? Essential listening? Nice to have but not really necessary? Die Pronunciation Satan Die?
Kalau di circle yang gue kenal (yang udah senior dan cukup berpengaruh di fandom) mereka selalu bilang translasi bahasa Inggrisnya bagus dan kadang lebih bagus dari bahasa Indonesianya haha. They're always praising your work. Tapi kalau apakah its essential to listen or not, mungkin lebih ke nice to have but not really necessary. But still its a good gimmick dan ngebedain JKT sama 48 groups lainnya dan sekalian ngelatih para membernya buat belajar bahasa Inggris, so its good for them. Mungkin lo harus sekali aja coba datang ke teater, hehe.

Masa-masa angsty gue justru pas kuliah dan ngekos. Karena itu pertama kalinya gue keluar dari rumah dan punya kebebasan yang tiba-tiba. I start smoking and exploring my own sexuality, dan ada satu semester yang gue hampir fed up sama kuliah (terutama dosennya) dan milih gak masuk kelas untuk main pokemon di kosan atau nginep di radio kampus. Di masa-masa ini juga gue sangat terpengaruh aesthetics dari MySpace dan Tumblr and emo/grunge bands.

Lah ini mah sama kaya @jeanbannon... Again, you don't start your career as editor. Its not entry level position. Kalau kamu dari DKV dan ingin masuk tim desain, your entry level is junior graphic designer. Tapi sebetulnya kamu pun bisa jadi tim redaksi. My fashion editor start her career as graphic designer. Setelah beberapa lama ia pindah ke bagian fashion stylist & writer sebelum akhirnya dipromote jadi fashion editor.

Kalau emang pengen ya lebih bagus sih kalau ada persiapannya. Tapi gak harus kok, mayoritas mahasiswa baru sastra cina juga belom pernah belajar mandarin sama sekali dan bener2 mulai dari basic pas kuliah.
