not sure. i've never really put serious effort into encoding live action because all the sources i've used are too bad for it to be worth it
Did you finish dr3? Thoughts on the finale?
i'm satisfied with it. the show itself wasn't anywhere near as good as dr2 but it ended about as well as i could have hoped for
Any plans for fall??
i'm planning to play as far through persona 5 as i can manage, does that count
Was looking at Ajin releases and noticed Underwater didn't get blue for Ajin. Why is that?
i think the tl quality wasn't quite up to standard? something like that
">commie"
plz don't meme on me xythar ;_;
Underwater-Commie the best translation out there. But how does the video compare to Coalgirls and DESS? And is LNS's the best release so far?
honestly i have no idea because i haven't compared them
Why aren't you who you aren't?
please stop sending me questions like this. they're utterly banal i will get to the rest of my backlog probably tonight.
It's apparently International Translator Day and I wanted to thank you for all the anime translations you and everyone else has brought us over the years; they're gratefully appreciated! :'^)
i'm just an editor, but thanks!
http://ask.fm/Xythar/answers/140285165944 Doesn't that cause confusion? Like what if you said "the train will stop momentarily"? Could be either the train will stop and let people off or the train will stop and start quickly.
yep, it's ambiguous. on the other hand, something like "the train will arrive momentarily" can only be interpreted one way
Does "momentarily" mean "for a moment" or "in a moment"? I feel like I've seen it used both ways but I wanted to make sure.
it can mean either, yeah
i thought i knew something about fansubs, but i guess i dont. why are you satisfied with horriblesubs? isn't the editing or w/e better from other groups?
i watch other groups if they're available and i know they won't screw it up but most of the time they're simply not out when i want to watch the show (or they end up stalling halfway through) rip speedsubs
Pretty early to ask, but know any group interested in Occultic;Nine?
no idea, sorry
Because "plane" doesn't mean "to put planes in something". But tbh deplane is such a shit word anyway.
yep, well, english
Why does "defenestrate" mean "throw out of a window"? Shouldn't it logically mean "remove windows [from a house, etc.]"? Throwing someone out of a window should be "exfenestrating" them. "Fenestrate" means to put windows (metaphorically) in something.
why does "deplane" mean "to get people off a plane" and not "to remove planes from something"
