It's filled with wordplay and innuendos, neither of which translate very well. So it's difficult to translate, difficult to make the jokes make sense, and difficult to typeset (because it has like a hundred complicated signs every episode). Definitely a high-effort show all round.

I was a loose cannon who didn't play by anybody's rules. It didn't make me any friends with the brass, let me tell you, but I got results, dammit.

CR tends to mess up the IVTC (inverse telecine) on TV Tokyo shows. To cut a long story short, these shows are basically aired with one duplicate frame alongside every five actual frames in order to convert the 23.976 fps content to 29.97 fps for TV (there's a little more to it than that, but it's not really relevant here). In order to convert it back to the original framerate, the duplicate frame has to be removed. For some TV Tokyo shows they just don't do this at all and leave the show at 29.97 fps with the duplicate frames in, and for some they usually manage to remove it but sometimes fuck up and remove the wrong frame in the cycle, meaning that they go from ABBCDE to ABBCE instead of ABCDE. This has happened pretty consistently in the part B of some TV Tokyo shows (check out Inou Battle ep1 for instance) and as you might imagine, it looks like arse on panning and motion. This was also the reason I did the WatchableSubs release for Kokkuri-san.

No shit. I mean I can't find a game by that name on Google, and as such, the translation doesn't make sense. I can't check the title right now because I don't have the episode on me, but if it was デスレバース, that's Death Reverse (Reversi?).
