Why isn't vivid doing Mushishi BDs? Did CR look that good?
I'm not interested in encoding them and I doubt torchlight is either. The show has a fair bit of banding in dark scenes which would be pretty annoying to fix and I don't really see the point when Revo and FFF are already on the job.
And yeah, since it's an Aniplex show, it has a decent CR source already free from MPEG2 crap, which kinda reduces the necessity of a BD release to begin with.

All episode 11s are excluded from XDCC as the guy who runs the server believes it to be an unlucky number. I'm afraid if you need an episode 11 your only recourse is to torrent or DDL it.
What's a good way to expand my vocabulary? Or rather, I feel like I know a lot of words, but when it comes to actually writing, I always resort to the same words and rewriting style. The best way to expand your vocabulary is simply to read more. Grab some books and get stuck into them; the more, the better. That'll also help expose you to more styles of writing as well.

Seeing as you know a thing or two about audio. Is there any way to analyze a video's audio to see what frequencies are playing at any given time? There's this fucking hissing at all times on some eps that is driving me fucking nuts.
If you can load it in any kind of audio editor that supports spectral view (eg CoolEdit/Audition) you should be able to work it out from that.
Should I just download Dmonhiro for Jormungand? Asenshi's release isn't seeded at all and gg didn't do BDs.

If we do the BDs, we will do the specials. The whole point of picking them up was because the translator was interested in giving it another look, after all.

I think it's starting to get a bit played out, but I don't really mind that class of subtitle gimmick in general.

When you join two independent clauses without a coordinating conjunction (and, so, but...). Basically, if you can replace the comma with a period, you should.
eg

I wouldn't recommend intercourse with a booby trap, however well-designed and aesthetically pleasing it might be. Poison needles hurt even more when jabbed in sensitive areas, falling down a pit is even more awkward while naked, and if blades or metal teeth are involved you might lose something very precious indeed.
